Bizarro World

Best place ever they got every movie and comic you’re looking for. Great location with lots to eat and do around you. Perfect for time with the kids or even a fun simple date night. This store is amazing from the customer service to all the things there is to see inside with options to rent or buy movies.

I was very disappointed with my experience because the owner did not honor the advertised pricing. I picked out 93 Pokémon cards from the bulk section. The posted price is $0.25 per card, or $0.10 per card when buying in bulk. Both the owner and employees have previously told me that "bulk" means purchasing more than 40 cards. Since I had 93 cards, I expected to pay around $9.30 (or at least no more than about $12 after tax). Instead, the owner tried to charge me nearly $26. When I asked why, he pointed out that I had found a few cards like Eevees, Mew, Pikachu, Charmeleon, and some shiny cards, saying those should have been priced differently and "shouldn't have been in there." He then told me that because of those cards, none of my purchase qualified for the bulk price anymore, and every card would be charged at $0.25 each. That policy makes no sense to me. If certain cards aren't supposed to be in the bulk bins, it's the store's responsibility to sort them before putting them out for customers. Customers shouldn't be penalized for selecting cards from a section that is clearly marked with specific pricing. When I explained that the store should honor the posted prices, the owner responded, "I have other things to do, and I'm looking through them now." I found his response dismissive and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like the advertised prices can't be trusted. I enjoy supporting local card shops, but I expect businesses to honor their posted pricing or clearly communicate any exceptions before customers spend time shopping.

Amazing store!!! So many comics, games and cards!!! We found exactly what we were looking for and more. Cant wait to come back. Great service too, super friendly and helpful. I was a big fan of the movie selection and my husband was a huge fan of the comics and magic cards. We will be coming here often!

We love this store! My 6yr old loves coming here for Pokémon cards and we have a ball looking at all the books and other fun cartoon/comic-related cards and knick-knacks. The owner is nice and knowledgeable and is really sweet with our kiddo (who has paid for cards in change in the counter!) 😁

During a brief visit to Davis with my husband, I was fortunate enough to discover this gem of a store. It’s undoubtedly one of the standout spots in downtown. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was genuinely down-to-earth, and picked up some fascinating books and horror films to enjoy once we returned home. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
