Big Deck Energy Games

Overall a decent shop, card selection is ok. An average card game shop. My main issue is with the communication issue I experienced. One person told me on the phone that they are selling prerelease kits after their prerelease event for me to bring home, if they have any left over. I told them, ok, I will call when the event is going to be over and ask if they do. I called after and they said they had kits left over, but they would sell them to me the next day. I told them my conversation that I had with their employee that morning, and he said “ok, I suppose we can after the event ends. I walk into the store, and the guy at the counter tells me that they do not plan on selling any kits. Then the guy next to him says they commonly hold them for a week or so or hold them to do another event. Which is fair! But WHY on earth did they tell me any of that from the 2 previous phone calls! I drove all the way in, and they wasted my gas money and time. Bad communication, they need to work on that them they would get 4 stars and a better communication rating from me. *Updated: they were selling kits the next day when I called the store and asked. Lost out on business because nobody had any idea what was going on there, and all had different answers.

This store is absolutely amazing. I know nothing about Pokémon but my kids fell completely in love with these guys so it was near impossible to pull them out of here. The staff are so helpful and patient. The atmosphere is inviting and fun. Highly recommend and will be stopping in whenever we’re in town!

I had an incredible experience at Big Deck Energy Games and it instantly became one of my favorite local game stores. The atmosphere is welcoming, energetic, and genuinely community-focused in a way that a lot of hobby shops try to be but rarely achieve. As an LGBTQ+ customer, walking into a queer-owned and operated gaming store where I immediately felt comfortable and at home honestly meant a lot to me. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful without ever feeling pushy or elitist. The cute guy working the counter was especially kind, made me feel genuinely seen and welcome, and may have flirted with me a little—which definitely didn’t hurt. The whole visit felt personal and memorable instead of just transactional. The store has an awesome selection of trading card games, accessories, collectibles, apparel, dice, tabletop products, and hobby supplies. I was able to finally find a Dungeons & Dragons book I’d been looking for, picked up some great dice, and grabbed a tank top featuring one of their adorable dog mascots in my favorite color. The mystery dice sets are especially dangerous if you’re a dice goblin like me. Whether you’re into trading card games, tabletop gaming, collectibles, or just looking for a genuinely welcoming local hobby shop with great energy and excellent customer service, Big Deck Energy Games is absolutely worth visiting.

Amazing people here with incredible selections and rotating stock! Dave and David are super friendly at the front to greet you! Jim always being awesome and hosting some fun tournaments. Brad holding it down for pokemon! Baily being knowledgeable about magic the gathering! The staff is just amazing and welcoming place with their unique personalities! Definitely worth coming in to buy or trade, and stay to play & meet some cool people! Absolutely the best shop in the Coachella valley by far! A must stop for any collector of any age!!!

Amazing game store. The selection is superb and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Stopped in a few times over a week to pick up a few items and each time we found something new that we needed or wanted. Very easy to spend a decent amount here especially in regards to Pokémon or Magic The Gathering. I have yet to play games there as we're from out of town and I did not bring my cards, but the shop was busy with at least 15 to 20 players all of the times we've been.
