Big Belly Gaming
4787 Fashion Square Mall, Suite C301, 48064 Saginaw, Michigan
Big Belly Gaming is a new community-focused tabletop game store located in Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw, Michigan. That leads me to the first make positive quality, parking. Parking for ANY size event would NEVER be an issue for us. We can utilize the entire parking lot if needed. Our store is designed with both retail and community in mind, featuring a dedicated play space alongside a curated selection of trading card games, board games, miniatures, accessories, and collectibles. We believe organized play is the heart of a successful gaming community, and Disney Lorcana is a major part of that vision. This is the second major quality is space. We have 6,000sq ft store with over 4,000 of that as available play space. We also can use common areas in the mall if we want to host an even larger event. To top it all off, 24/7 security comes with our space! We are committed to supporting Lorcana through weekly leagues, casual play nights, learn-to-play sessions for new players, tournaments, family-friendly events, prerelease celebrations whenever available, and special community events. We are going to actively promote our events through all of our social media and work to make every player—whether they're a competitive Illumineer or opening their very first starter deck—feel welcomed and eager to participate and return. This is our 3rd unique quality, community. We've built this from the beginning as a COMMUNITY first store. We are going to be very welcoming and ready to give the experts space to play and enjoy with others, and also have the space we can teach someone who has never even picked up the game before! Our goal isn't simply to sell products. We want Big Belly Gaming to become the place where the local Lorcana community grows, new players discover the game, families play together, and experienced players have a home for organized play. We are committed to investing in the long-term success of Disney Lorcana and providing a positive, inclusive environment that reflects the spirit of the game.

It's an alright shop. I think inventory needs to be built up as time goes on. Currently they have a decent selection of Magic packs, but at non-competitive prices. This is understandable, and if I was playing there I'd likely pick up a few just for fun regardless. I think the one thing I was disappointed in was the 3D printed items and unlicensed/cheap quality mousepads with card images printed on. These items are easy to make, and I understand inventory can be difficult at the start if it wasn't built up over many years, but still you know. One of the biggest level ups would be to get more Magic distribution and having a healthy selection of Dragon Shield sleeves. Carrying BCW and VaultX binders would go a long way as well. Ultimately, we'll see how things go here. The location and space it has is A1. But of course, the biggest hurtle for TCG stores today is distribution and actually maintaining healthy inventory for years while also making profit. It's a very difficult thing to do right now. Distribution is a mess for both Magic and Pokemon. The owner seems cool and I really do wish the best for them and everyone else involved. Excited to see what they turn it into.
