Stopped by Bifrost Games on a walk — it's just a couple blocks from work, so I figured I'd check it out. I'm usually hunting for One Piece cards specifically, and unfortunately they didn't have any. Inventory overall seemed pretty light across the board, whether it was Pokémon, One Piece, or anything else. The shelves and counter case weren't stocked up much. What they do have is space — a lot of it. Tons of tables, so this feels less like a card shop and more like a play space for TCGs, RPGs, and other tabletop games. I was genuinely surprised how big the table area was. It runs long, and you could fit a serious crowd in here. So it didn't hit my objective, which was a little disappointing. But the vibe was cool and the guy at the counter was friendly — he explained that they do carry One Piece, but distributors haven't been stocking them consistently for whatever reason. Good space, welcoming staff, but light on inventory — which for me is the crucial part. Worth a visit if you're looking for somewhere to play. Less so if you're hunting for singles or sealed product.

I have gone there many times with my husband and friends. Today, I left work to wait for my husband’s last game, and even though I wasn’t planning to play, just wait for him there, I was told I had to pay a $15 minimum purchase. Based on the other reviews, it’s clear they don’t care whether they lose customers or whether people come back. They don’t seem interested in building the sense of community that has always been such an important part of Magic: The Gathering. It’s disappointing to see a place that doesn’t value the players and supporters who help keep the community alive.

It is terrible and appalling that in a community where the gathering is the most important thing, a shop like this shows no leniency; they charge a $15 minimum spend—essentially a cover charge—to someone who isn't even there to play, but simply waiting for her husband to finish his last match, even though she is inside for less than half an hour. You are shameful and repulsive; I hope no one else has to deal with people who show such a lack of kindness and such hostility.

Visiting NYC & found this lovely space for some Magic The Gathering games in the middle of the city. Large collection of recent sealed product & card supplies. Singles list very small but the local players were very nice and gave a welcoming vibe.

Decent lighting, spacious. They welcomed you to play Magic the gathering here, but the moment you take out your binder to trade/sell, the owners of the card shop will notice you and start throwing a hissy fit over what is just an exchange of a few cards worth just pennies. Let it be known that nowhere on their rules ever dictates that it is not allowed to trade/sell your cards. Cardshop communities live and die depending on how the community is able to freely trade or deal with their own cards. The fact that this store owner is unwilling to have this happen inside their shop will only limit what people like to do with their cards, and the hobby for that matter: trading.
