I've made about a dozen purchases at Battlegrounds and every one has been a great experience. The staff have always been friendly, kind, and welcoming to me. They understand the core tenet of customer service: exceed expectations and the customer leaves happy. Pricing is extremely fair, and they also have bulk bins. The store environment is very inclusive, which is rad.

If you are in Richmond, surrounding areas, or traveling through. This is the best spot for gaming! The staff is friendly to ALL, knowledgeable, and eager to help you find what you need, yet they are not pushing products. They are all gaming enthusiasts themselves, capable of spreading their love for gaming and hobby to you. Make sure to visit this amazing spot for your gaming needs!

You simply aren't going to find a better local game store in the area in terms of sheer space. There are so many tables for open gaming — everything from miniatures to board games to tabletop roleplay to trading cards. Convenient computer inventory lookup system for trading cards and many boxes of unsorted bulk to browse also. A dedicated painting station for miniatures. More than just one bathroom. Friendly staff and generally decent clientele, including a very active community of regulars always looking for a game, and a calendar packed with events. There's even a store discord server for inquiries, discussion, and finding a game. They kind of have it all. Highly recommended.

Truly a wonderland of warhammer and other geeky nerd-groceries. The absolute best selection of Games Workshop miniatures in the Richmond area. The actual warhammer store is a mall kiosk compared to the selection here. If that weren't enough for you, the Magic the gathering stock is equally bonkers! I used to travel around town between One-eyed Jacques, Hobby Town, and the Warhammer store finding little bits and pieces for my expensive hobbies, but no longer. It is a one-stop shop for everything i love AND they have rewards of 10% for every warhammer purchase. They also sell used warhammer mini's for reduced prices, almost always 50% off. I cannot say enough great things about this Mecca of models and magic and I recommend it to any nerds I smell around town. The staff is also so very friendly, charming, and helpful. If I sound like an employee its only because I have been searching for a store like this for my entire life. Give them your patronage and lets make this place a thriving hub of dorkedom!

Large, well organized game store just outside Richmond. Great selection of Roleplaying Games and and outstanding selection of miniatures from several manufacturers. GW section contains as many models as a Warhammer Store. Good painting/modeling selection as well including comprehensive Citadel, Army Painter and Vallejo offerings. Decent Board game section and unbelievably large and beautiful gaming space including an astounding array of terrain and models.
