Great LGS with amazing energy. The D&D room is gonna look beautiful when the painting is done. I also love that they have a separate “chill” room for kids, anyone overwhelmed in the moment, or people who want to be there but might not want to participate. It’s an amazing idea and I wish more places had one!

I found this place while looking for a new restaurant. So glad I took the time to check it out. I was met at the door and warmly welcomed in by an late 30ish guy who I would find out later was the proprietor. I explained that I was intrigued about the business and just wanted to look around. He introduced himself as Josh and proceeded to give me a tour. As you enter in there are several displays to the right with dice, counters, and packs of various games and decks of cards available for purchase. There was a large seperate display of individual 'Magic The Gathering' cards available for purchase if you are looking to fill out your deck. The vibe here was very friendly, I was not rushed as I looked around I could hear laughs and giggles coming from the four or five communal gaming tables located along the right wall. Josh explained that Monday night was game night and you could use one of several games located there, buy one of the many for sale or bring one from home. What a great opportunity to get together in a time where personal interaction is waning. One group was having quite a time playing Cataan including several expansion packs, I wish I had more time I would have joined in. To the left of the gaming area was a small coffee lounge with a nescafe machine and comfortable chairs, the walls were adorned with some amazing photos from a local photographer (Josh mentioned their name, I didn't recognize it) I am not sure if they were for sale or not but very cool nonetheless. Josh then showed me "The arcane dungeon" a private gaming area with a long table and six or eight chairs, apparently if you want a private gaming experience this is available, I didn't ask if there was a fee. Upon leaving the "dungeon" I noticed a rack with numerous hand painted miniatures, Josh explained they were available to borrow to help make your particular gaming experience more immersive. He then led me to a large standing table currently set up for a "Warhammer" scenario including hand painted Gothic ruins and more miniatures. About this time I realized I still hadn't eaten and it was time to move on but despite not buying anything I felt comfortable and was welcomed back. Although I live an hour and a half away I am definitely going to stop by next time I am in battle creek. Shoot, I may even take a special trip to come back on a Monday for game night. Josh explained that he is continuously updating and adding more stock, he indicated he was expecting a new shipment of Pokémon and other cards soon as well as improving his selection of D&D and other role playing and table games. I really hope this place is successful as it just had a cool vibe and the proprietor was super friendly.
