About Anime-zing Escape Inc. Anime-zing Escape is a family-owned hobby shop located in Locust Grove, Georgia — built for fans, by fans. We opened our doors over 20 years ago because we saw a real gap in the community: a place where hobbyists could find quality products, get knowledgeable advice, and actually feel at home. Our Story What started as a passion for anime, comics, trading card games, and tabletop miniatures grew into something bigger — a gathering place for the local hobby community. From sealed booster boxes to Warhammer kits and more. We're not a big-box retailer. We're your neighbors, and we run this store the way we'd want to shop — with honest recommendations, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back. What We Carry Anime merchandise — figures, apparel, and collectibles Comics — books, figures, games, and more Trading Card Games — Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and more Warhammer & Miniature Games — kits, paints, and accessories Tabletop hobby supplies and accessories Why Customers Keep Coming Back We've been described as having a "homey atmosphere" — and that's intentional. This isn't a sterile retail environment. It's a space where you can browse, ask questions, and talk shop with people who genuinely know the hobby. Our staff plays the games, watches the shows, and builds the models. That knowledge makes a difference. We also host in-store events and community nights, because the hobby is better when you share it. All though this store used to be pretty great about 3 years ago. This place has seen better days.. inventory is outdated. Paints haven't been restocked in God knows how long. And the excuse Everytime is oh we placed an order it hasn't shown up yet. I have came in on multiple occasions looking for Gundam stuff that they used to carry all the time. And they don't carry them in stock as much but can order for you. Employees have always been chill. I remember when they said they were going to expand to the other room they rented out as well. That was mentioned 2 years ago it still hasn't came through. If you're into Warhammer and magic. Oh and they have plenty of gems and rocks for no reason in stock. By all means you might be able to find something in those 3 categories. But prices aren't that competitive to what you can purchase in other places. Kinda high in my book. I understand the motto "support your local business" but it's hard to justify supporting it if there hasn't been progression nor inventory increase to have a better selection. I really want this store to glow up and go great. It's literally one of few stores that is close for Henry county. I will keep on checking in in hopes it gets better.

Jackson and the owner were a great help to me in my search for some MTG cards. I got a couple chase cards I've been after and even managed to make some trades at 80%, which is competitive from my experience. Jackson even managed to put me on to a few combos for the decks I'm building. Long story short, if you're in the market for some MTG cards or board game staples, I'd definitely recommend this place over several others that didn't seem eager to help or be bothered.

My son goes here for Warhammer play. I came in to watch. I went in thinking i would feel very out of place (50 year old parent) but the people and the staff were very friendly and inviting. They have food for them to eat, and a lot of stuff to buy if you choose.
