Convenient location off S. Lamar, not the biggest screens, but okay given the location. 18%+ auto gratuity on orders….and even after adding the 18% the site still wants to ask for another 5%….if you’re already mandatory tipping yourselves 18%, tacking on another 5% is ridiculous. If you don’t go in and remove it, it’s a lot. Lacks tap to pay or Apple Pay checkout options for food and ticket purchases.

We had the pleasure of bringing balloon décor to Baker Botts’ summer party hosted at the iconic Alamo Cinema, and what a fun and memorable event it was! We created custom balloon installations that added a festive, vibrant touch to the celebration while perfectly complementing the unique and lively atmosphere of the venue. From start to finish, the energy was amazing, and it was wonderful seeing everyone relax and enjoy the evening together. We’re so grateful to have been part of such a creative and well-executed event—thank you to Baker Botts for trusting us to help bring the summer celebration to life!

The theatre and Alamo experience is still great with the pre-show entertainment being exceptional as usual. The seats were comfy, the food was good but the service was a bit lacking. I was one of the first in the theatre, approached by a guy with a serious attitude problem asking to verify that I had an actual ticket. I ordered right after that and the food didn’t arrive until after the movie started, forgot part of the order. Overall I’d still go back because.. it’s Alamo. It’s fun. But seriously somebody needs to remove the stick from that guy.

Went there recently to see this amazing movie 'No Other Choice'. Theatre was packed, given holiday times. It was hard to get parking in the 3 retail garages nearby, so had to park on the street and run to get in before the movie time. Definitely factor in some extra time considering that possiblity. This Alamo Drafthouse has so much movie culture you can see everywhere, the theme of The Shining movie and several other elements showing this place is all about movie as the art form and not just a commercial establishment srlling tickets. Great experience overall.

Never been to a movie theater that had full in-theater service before! It was so cool being able to order a beer and watch a movie. It's all mediocre food, and mostly frozen & fried food, but it's cool to be able to get all types of food inside the movies as well! I will definitely be back, as they offer advance screenings on films, and they seem to take being quiet and watching the movie seriously as opposed to other major brand theaters.
