8-Bit Gaming

Stella and her team are very welcoming and inviting. Good supply of trading cards and supplies, vinyl records, and memorabilia. Staring to see more people coming in to play Magic the Gathering. Thanks!

Had an amazing experience selling some of my gaming collection at 8-Bit Gaming. The employee who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable, fair, and easy to talk to. Unfortunately, I forgot his name, so I’ve dubbed him the “Astrophysicist Guy” because he seemed to know everything about gaming, collectibles, and the market behind them. He took the time to explain the process, answered all my questions, and made the entire transaction smooth and stress-free. I never felt rushed or pressured, and the offer was more than fair. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with great customer service, but he absolutely did. If you’re looking to buy, sell, or trade games and collectibles, I highly recommend checking out 8-Bit Gaming. And if the Astrophysicist Guy is working that day, you’re in good hands. Would definitely do business here again! 🎮👍

First and last time going in, tried to sell 3 pokemon games, well aware of their current market value. Was told my Pokemon emerald was undesirable because of the dry battery. As of today, dry battery sold for $250 while working battery sold for $275. If it wasn’t obvious, please inform your employees on what a battery does for gen 3 Pokemon games. Then onto my other games, fire red and leaf green. Today sold for $110 each respectively. Was offered $80 for both. Around 40% of market(I’m being nice, it’s under 40% lol). Outrageous lowball. Also did not even test the games in a system before offer. I wouldn’t sell or buy games with this store, red flags all over.

I love it here. Stella's the coolest and always so nice to me. I have been in here for long periods of time and we chit chat. She also has great music taste. Thanks for my magic cards :)

I was in the vicinity the other day and saw this recently opened retro gaming shop on my map, so I stopped in for a quick visit. This is my honest review. 8-Bit Gaming is a recently opened, as of February 2023, retro gaming store in Derry NH. They have a small but nice selection of retro games and everything is well originized and tidy. I was able to quickly navigate the gaming sections that I was interested in with little to no difficulty. The gentleman who was working that day, Matthew, was incredibly polite and attentive. He was very enthusiastic and gave off a very welcoming vibe, essentially the perfect retro gaming store employee. I didn't see much that I was interested in purchasing, but I did find a single game and when I took it home and put it in my NES it worked perfectly the first time. The prices seemed pretty fair for a physical location. More or less what things are going for online via eBay and Pricecharting. I would have liked to buy more and bundle for some additional value, but there wasn't much that I wanted, and the owner wasn't there. The associate didn't have much leeway or authority to do anything with the posted prices. Your experience may be better than mine. Although the selection at 8-Bit Gaming wasn't that large, I will definitely be back for a subsequent visit if I'm in the general area and once they have been opened for a while longer. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars.
