Super nice owner and riftbound event. I was new to the game and everyone made me feel welcome they also have a lot of bulk to look through and pick up cards you need to complete your deck.

I have been here a few times and each visit has been great. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable especially if you are new to the hobby. They always have singles, slabs and product. Ranging from Pokemon, one piece and magic. They always willing to look at your cards if it’s for trades or for cash. When they look at your cards they do take their time and give an explanation why they pricing the card at NM or LP. Which I like cause some places just tell you a price and don’t say why.

Great Pokemon store, had some bangers in singles and a couple good PSA10s just bought the Squirtle from Japanese Stellar Crown and they even let me keep the guard, which I thought was a very nice gesture!

If your wallet has ever whispered “please don’t” while you reached for another pack, then World Champion Trading Cards is about to become your favorite (and most dangerous) stop in Flushing. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn’t some random hype-driven shop — it’s a real collector’s spot. The display cases are loaded with Pokémon, sports cards, sealed product, and graded slabs that stare at you through the glass like, “You know you want me.” Whether you’re chasing modern heat, investing long-term, or just trying to relive your childhood one holo at a time, they’ve got something for you. The vibe is what really sets this place apart. The staff actually talks to you like a fellow collector, not just a transaction. They’re patient with questions, transparent about pricing, and don’t give off that gatekeeper energy you sometimes find in card shops. If you’re new to the hobby, you won’t feel intimidated. If you’re experienced, you’ll appreciate the knowledge. They’ll celebrate your big pulls with you — and respectfully mourn when your “guaranteed fire” box builds character instead. Pricing felt fair for the current market (which, let’s be honest, can be a rollercoaster), and inventory seems to move often. Translation: you’ll tell yourself you’re “just stopping by to look” more than once. Flushing has plenty of great small businesses, and this one absolutely deserves the support. Just don’t blame them when you leave smiling, holding a new slab… and checking your bank app on the way home.

Everyone there is nice and chill, but I was pretty disappointed by my visit. I bought a prerelease kit for an event they had advertised as a Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease tournament, and they just cancelled the whole prerelease right after I opened the cards to play with them because that was easier than telling all the commander players that it's time for the actual prerelease time. They gave a few free packs as a consolation prize for cancelling it, but I'm still down $40 that I would never have spent if I knew we just straight up weren't going to play the format I specifically bought cards for. Some people in the store are also talking about how much they hate "girly sets with stupid stuff like fairies", and that's definitely not a fun clientele, although again, almost everyone there was super nice, even though they kinda ruined the event I showed up specifically to participate in.
