For those who don’t know, this place purchases at 60% and will screw you the first chance they get when making a deal. They lucked out with my timing, but I’m happy I kept all of the really good stuff at home. $6.1k offer for over 11k of TCG player comped items (I ran numbers before arrival on the same day). The deal is done so it’s moot at this point, but sellers, use this review to have the most information possible when conducting business with these people. Had this deal been properly conducive , there would have been a steady supply of product for a more than reasonable price. 3 owners, possibly between the ages of 35-45 in an overly expensive building undergoing construction. I cycle through items quite often since I travel, but I definitely won’t bother with this place again. I’m willing to bet they will not be in business long, my job has shown me plenty of places like this never last.

I realize the craze that Pokemon is right now and maybe I am the only parent on earth who doesn’t realize this. If your kid pulls a valuable card, take it from them and put it in a safe they do not have access to. This card shop will buy ANY card from ANY kid, no matter the age of the kid and no matter the value of the card. They said this was true of any card shop. My kid (and yes it was my kid who did it) made a very, very bad trade at this store. They even had him sign papers (he’s a minor). The only good thing I will say is they would have allowed him to return the trade product for his very expensive and graded card if his friend had not ripped open the trade product (sealed boxes). But only after I called. Any card shop that is making these kinds of deals with minors who don’t have a parent or guardian with them - well I think they are absolutely taking advantage. Yes, these kids know a lot about these cards but after a certain dollar amount the decision shouldn’t be made by a kid doing business with an adult who is in the business and running a shop to make money. The shop claimed they told my son it wasn’t a good trade and he should hold on to his card, but I wasn’t there (obviously) and have a hard time believing they tried to dissuade them. If you want to buy some cards here, probably fine (kind of pricey). Just don’t sell or trade and definitely don’t ever let your kid sell or trade if you are not with them.

Excellent place to conduct business. Highly recommend. *Update* These guys went above and beyond to accommodate an issue caused by USPS even after I said it wasnt a massive issue. This type of customer service is unheard of in the world of trading cards, especially these days, and these guys were nothing short of amazing. Thank you Miky and Parker!!!!

We took our two kids (ages 5 and 7) who have recently taken an interest in trading cards, and the experience was incredible. Both gentlemen working there were so welcoming and took the time to patiently answer all of our questions. If you’re new to this world, it can feel intimidating — but not here. They truly welcome everyone. Such a great experience for our whole family. We’ll definitely be back!

I’ve read through some of the other reviews, and honestly, I think a few of them are a bit unfair. In my experience, Trading Card World in Dallas has very competitive pricing. Like any card shop, some items are going to be priced a little higher and some a little lower, but overall I’ve consistently found their NBA and UFC hobby boxes to be the lowest priced in the DFW area. I’ve definitely compared prices, and they’ve come out on top more than once. What really sets this place apart is the customer service and the overall vibe. This isn’t a grab-and-go, purely transactional shop. It’s more relationship-based. You go in, you talk cards, you get to know the staff, and they actually take the time to help you out. That goes a long way in this hobby. The team is friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. They’re always willing to answer questions, share insight, and they consistently have new inventory coming in. You can tell they genuinely care about both the hobby and their customers. I have no affiliation with the store at all. This is just my honest experience after visiting at least a dozen times. Based on that, I think it’s a great shop with a great group of people, and the one-star reviews don’t line up with what I’ve personally experienced. Overall, it’s a great experience, and it’s one of those places where, if you’re into the hobby, you naturally keep going back. Over time it starts to feel like a privately owned restaurant where they know you, remember you, and you actually enjoy stopping in. I’d absolutely recommend Trading Card World in Dallas to anyone into sports cards or collectibles.
