We stopped by to check out a board game, it was $9/person for 1 hour, on the steep side considering there’s other places that let you play for free or a flat fee per hour (not also per person). Royce (one of the staff) explained the rules of the game to us which was helpful since we had never played it before. They have a wide selection of games compared to most cafes I’ve been to. This isn’t a place to bring your own games as it’s pretty small and I don’t think they let you stay for free. But if you’re looking to try out a board game with friends before buying it for yourself, I recommend Toby’s.

One of the best board game cafes I’ve been to. Really friendly service and they help you choose a board game to play if you’re unsure. They help explain the rules too, in both english and Chinese. Me and my friends had a great time here, and would highly recommend to any one else.

Overall a great location. They have a huge selection of games and an ample sized 2 player section. They even have long games such as Nemesis, with 4 expansions available. The area is very clean with plenty of room. There are adjustable cup holders for each seat and a drawer underneath each desk with materials such as pencils, dice, wipes, and little plates for holding game material. The main issue I have is that about a fifth of the games are in a different language but for some they also have it in English. Not sure why there's a negative review about the customer service. It wasn't mind blowing 11/10 service but there was nothing wrong with it either. He even only charged my group for an hour when we were playing for 1:30 hours. I forgot to take a picture of the pricing but it's: $6/hr - $20/day - weekdays $8/hr - $30/day - weekends There are membership pricings which I believe isn't that much more than the day passes and you can prepay multiple months in advance for essentially a discount. Private rooms are an extra $6/hr per person.

It’s a great place with nice settings and atmosphere. However, the owner was impatient and not very friendly to us. I took my mom there who is already 60, yet has a young heart to try playing board games with us. I didn’t think we were treated very nicely. The girl employee was kind though, which I would like to mention and appreciate.

This is a fantastic place to unwind, connect with friends, and enjoy some quality gaming time. Whether you’re a fan of strategy games, party games, or cooperative adventures, you’re sure to find something that suits your taste. I highly recommend it and can’t wait for my next visit!
