Thopter Academy

Absolutely love coming here, I visit when I go to see my boyfriend at college. He'll come for magic cards and he also absolutely loves it here. The people are amazing and the prices are always market price which is hard to find because other places mark things up to 3× the price. The owner is super kind and genuine, I live in battle creek and I always make sure to spend money when I come up here on Pokémon or Magic cards, this place has become my go to card shop and it's amazing!

I like the store, they have good card selection and they are nice. JUST A WARNING: they smoke a lot and vape a lot inside, and my wife about had a asthma attack when she walked in the store. She had to leave. It just sucks because she never wants to go there and she plays magic. Just a consideration about the place, I do like everything else.

Great community of Magic players. Dan the owner is great guy and knows his customers on a first name basis.

I really like Thopter Academy and the owner, Dan. He knows many customers on a first name basis, and has built a good community with his store. He is inclusive and kind to new customers as well. He has a great collection of Magic cards, solid collection of Pokemon cards, and various other products. He also has some sealed product that is fairly priced for him and for the customer. Dan is always willing to price check his products in regards to the current market, and is open to negotiations depending on the situation. Trade in's are currently at a lower percentage, but this is a common trend for all smaller to medium shops. Please support Thopter and other stores in this category as it helps the community and helps combat scalping/price hikes by private sellers and big time stores.

Excellent selection of Pokemon(has vintage cards like base set, fossil, jungle) and Magic cards. Very friendly owner and was willing to negotiate prices. It also has space to play
