The Toy Factory

Love The Toy Factory and John is a great individual. All of the 1-3 star reviews here are for a store NOT IN THIS COUNTRY - look at the reviews and their names. I’ve never had a bad experience here, cards and packs are fairly priced, and he runs tournaments well.

I’ve visited The Toy Factory in Hillsborough multiple times now and every experience has been consistently great! John, the owner, is relaxed, friendly, and his shop has a super casual and welcoming vibe. Whether you’re looking for something specific or just browsing, you’re likely to find what you need at a fair price. The inventory is quite extensive and I’ve purchased sleeves, MTG, OP, and Gundam CG items here. They also have a reward system that earns points with each purchase towards money off of a future purchase. One of my favorite things about this place is the community vibe. There always seems to be folks at the tables playing TCGs, no matter what time of day I’ve stopped in. They also host all diff games on a schedule that’s communicated each week via email. If you’re in the Hillsborough area and looking for a hobby shop with good stock, fair prices, and zero pretension, The Toy Factory is the move. Highly recommend!

I’m visiting a friend here in Hillsboro and I came straight from my car inside her building of seniors and I wake up this morning and my bank account tells me $70.63 has been spent at a place called play craft world shop up in Boone Square in downtown Hillsborough North Carolina thing is I never went there so how the hell did someone get my bank to purchase from the place? I’ve never even walked past I got a feeling there was someone that came to visit my friend she too had an iPhone. I think she went past and swiped it because you can do that. She comes back while I’m here. I’m turning my phone off. This is crazy. So be careful people

Stopped in with my daughter on Saturday to pick some cards up for my husband. The owner is so friendly, and we had a great experience. Went back on Sunday with my husband and had another great experience. This is now definitely our shop of choice.

Highly recommend! The Toy Factory is tucked away inside a quaint interior thoroughfare and has a great selection of card games/paraphernalia (and what looks like a welcoming space for play, though I didn't have the chance on this visit!) John is very friendly and helpful, and I look forward to coming back for future releases.
