TINY MINOTAUR IS THE BEST! You really feel transported into another realm when you step into The Tiny Minotaur. Every corner of this place has the utmost attention to detail, and care, to let the outer world fade away. It is an oasis in the midst of the city that is its own magical dimension. The staff and ownership are all incredibly kind, and inclusive, and there is a “don’t be an asshole’ policy that is upheld that I can really appreciate. Tiny really attracts the best people too; everyone is always in good spirits and the energy is always uplifting. They also have an amazing selection of hand crafted NA drinks, and craft cocktails as well. If you need a break from the bs of every day life, immerse yourself at The Tiny Minotaur. You won’t regret it.

We had an industry association meet-up here ( Themed Entertainment Association) and it was such a great location! Great themed spaces, welcoming staff, allowed for easy mingling and even crossover with the regulars. It was DnD night, and those are our people! It’s a non-profit and private club ( day passes available) so they are beholden to no one, and support many local charities and communities in the Austin area.

It is a, as implied, tiny space with an interesting, geeky vibe for gaming and folk who would be comfortable at Renaissance faires. The specialty drinks are odd and not my cup of carbonated tea. There is lots of outdoor seating, which is good because the indoor area gets really loud with D&D and similar games getting really loud. The food that I saw looked as though very little effort or thought went into it but was still had a premium price. I would probably not go back unless it was to meet geeky friends there.

I bought a one-day pass and was initially confused about what exactly it included. Upon arrival, I was greeted at the door, but beyond that, there wasn't much guidance or engagement.I understand this is a private club and may cater to a specific audience, but the overall experience felt underwhelming. The drinks were decent, and the atmosphere was okay, though the crowd seemed to be mostly in the 21–25 age range. In my opinion, this isn't really a date-night destination.Other than the initial welcome, there wasn't much of an immersive or memorable experience that would justify the hype or the cost of admission.

They're not very responsive by Tock or e-mail unfortunately, but it was still a great time! (I tried to reach out about a discount on 13 tickets and never got a reply.) Parking: Awful, gotta roll the dice on the neighborhoods nearby. Thankfully not too many blocked off streets. Almost like a hidden secret of South Austin! We went with a group of 13 guys, half in Ren Faire costume, for their monthly night market evening. You're welcomed at the door by a very enthusiastic orc and should come prepared to show ID. Check-in was seamless with their emailed order. The venue itself is small and could practically be someone's home. Karaoke was an offshoot room that fit only about 10 people. It's a lot more spacious in the back than it seems, opening up to plenty of seating where groups were seen chatting or playing tabletop games. There weren't many vendors but a great wizard was there giving away little fortunes that was very wholesome. Overall, great spot for a date or for one of their themed nights. I'd definitely come back with a group.
