The Outpost

I had a little bit of a issue finding it. I think that was more of a me problem but otherwise it is exactly what I was looking for.

The Outpost is run by a very sweet and passionate couple. You can tell they love what they do and they offer so many different ways to play games from TCGs to tabletops. They’re a hidden gem in Johnson City that I’m glad is here, so be sure to stop in and check them out

Joah and Joni run a great little shop in the heart of Johnson City. There aren't many people as passionate about gaming and as open to sharing that passion than Joah. They run great events and the community that comes to Outpost is one of the best in the area. Always someone playing a game of something and willing to let you join in. Joah even makes his massive personal collection of games available for you to play in store if you want to try something before you buy it. Prices are spot on for the product and you know the monies will stay at home and support a very important local business. If you're looking to scratch that tabletop gaming itch then The Outpost is your place!

New game store in the area....well, newer. They've been open since October. I tried it out today. Very impressive! They have a lot of war hammer stuff and seemed to emphasize the table top miniatures genre. They also have a nice selection of board games and very inexpensive deck boxes. This is the store I recommend for deck boxes. Also a really cool uniform display. Once COVID protocols lift they will have gaming areas, as well. Friendly dude behind the counter! Will buy from again.

Great selection of Games Workshop and Fantasy Flight Games products, as well as plenty of role-playing materials. The staff here is willing to go the extra mile for theri customers. I hung out for just a couple of minutes, but in that time I felt very welcome and could tell I was among fellow tabletop enthusiasts. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
