Not a lot of local game stores have staying power. The Game Preserve has been here on the southside for more than 25 years, and there's a reason for that. This store is a community staple that is so important to our Southside identity. They represent the best our neighborhood offers - friendly, inclusive, and encouraging people who love to spread through gaming. Thank you, GP - never stop.

Lovely staff and a wide selection. Sold MTG cards here, they were transparent and yp front about their rates and gave me a very fair offer. Incredibly generous points/rewards system that only requires a phone number/email. I live in Avon now, I will still make the drive to come here and shop for my hobbies. 6/5 stars 🌟

Game Preserve is always one of our go-to place for board games. They have an excellent selection, and it’s rare that we’re looking for something they don’t have. While we usually don’t play games there, it’s great that they even have a dedicated game room for anyone who wants that experience. Today we stopped in to pick up Lost Ruins of Arnak, and of course they had it — along with the expansions. Knowledgeable staff, great inventory, and a true passion for board games. If you enjoy tabletop gaming at any level, this place is a must-visit.

There are a number of board game shops in indy and this is one of the nicer ones. There was a large selection of games from cards to board games. I liked all the dragons they had in the store. It really tied in to the whole old timey vibes to the store. Will say location can be easy to miss if coming from the main road.

In my unscientific estimate, there's probably a zillion different ways to have fun in this store. There's just so many games! No matter what genre of tabletop gaming you're into, whether you're a casual player or dedicated gamer, Game Preserve will definitely have something for you. Beginning in the front of the store, you'll find the familiar family favorites. As you work your way in, you'll discover rows of dice, cards and what seems like every board game under the sun. If you have a favorite movie or TV show, they have games for that. Like historic or sci-fi themes? They have those games. Party games? Yep. Popular new releases? Got those. Miniature games? Yes, plus all the paints and brushes to customize your set. Staff is always super friendly and helpful when you're looking for something specific or trying to choose between their many titles. I've bought several gifts there plus several games for myself, all have been a huge hit. In the evenings, they open up their huge side room for games (I often see people playing Magic the Gathering and I know there’s open game nights too). Plus there's a rewards program for repeat customers. I'll definitely be back!
