Went for a Riftbound Nexus Night, Location was a bit hidden, but upon walking in space is very nice and clean. Plenty of space to play in the back. Cafe staff was not very attentive and prices are a bit high (as expected for a game cafe), but Food was good and arrived fast. Overall, enjoyed my experience and would return for another event!

I went to the Brooklyn Strategist on my birthday and purchased a small $19.00 game called High Tide. I purchased it because there was a display with a little story about the game makers. A week later I was at home (60 miles away) and I remembered the game. I took it out and discovered that they sold me the display copy and that it was missing the 19 small tiles that are used to play the game. Today I had business on Brooklyn again and I returned to the store to get a replacement game. The staff (3 of them) proceeded to give me a hard time acting as if it was reasonable to have to prove my “story” about this problem with this $19.99 game. I had the box and all of the parts (except the missing 19 tiles). Yet they acted as if this was some grand scheme to defraud the store. They insisted I had to have a receipt. I explained I paid with amex and they could look it up. I gave them my amex card. They investigated. They told me I did not pay with my amex card, which of course was not true. They refused to engage in any kind of rational discussion of the situation and the fact that it was a stupid $19.99 game and I obviously was not running a scam. I explained about it having been my birthday and told them the exact time I made the purchase. Finally they found a record. Of course they then apologized and immediately gave me my replacement. Nope. More nonsense, citing “company policy” demanding additional information and chastising me for being frustrated with them. Finally they gave me the replacement game. I asked for the manager’s email. They gave me a generic store email. If I could I would give zero stars.

We visited The Brooklyn Strategist on our first night in New York while exploring with my son, who loves card games, D&D, and all things tabletop. It was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Jack, Will, and Francesca were outstanding. They took the time to walk my son through different games, dice, and the worlds of Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer with genuine enthusiasm and care. They made him feel completely welcome and part of the community. The space itself is fantastic, with a dedicated game room full of friendly, engaged players and a truly inclusive atmosphere. You can tell this is more than just a shop, it’s a real hub for people who love games. Absolute five star experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Brooklyn, especially families or anyone curious about tabletop gaming.

Great place. One of the best places to meet amazing people, spend quality time. So many great games, and the guy who was working there is just brilliant. He explained so many fun games, played even with us. Food and snack were great too!

Stellar gaming shop, with an expansive selection of games and an enormous amount of playspace! I was in town visiting from Vegas, and heard about these guys, so I decided to pop in and check them out. Ended up chatting with one of their employees (Alex, if I recall), about Warhammer, Kill Team, their gaming tournaments and myriad other stuff unrelated to gaming. He made a few great recommendations to me, sadly they don't ship and I didn't have room in my luggage for new games so I had to settle for some dice and a coffee from their excellent in-store cafe. Overall a warm, organized, inviting LGS with knowledgeable employees with a wide range of expertise. Highly recommend!
