The Adventure Guild Game Shop

It was a cute and well kept gaming shop. There was a decent variety, and the staff was wonderful. The strip that the store is on is a really nice place to skip too.

Wow!!! This is a wonderful game shop! Places to sit and play games as well as a great selection. The employees are super knowledgeable and give great advice on games if you are looking for something or a gift! I host game night monthly and I am sad this place is over 6 hours from my home but also glad because I would spend all my money here! Highly recommend! Start game night with your family!

This place is amazing – a total surprise finding the best geek and game store I’ve ever visited, and finding it located on a strip full of yoga studios, art galleries, and vegan cafes. I don’t say best geek and game store lightly either. The Adventure Guild had a large selection of many of the current strategy, family, and roll-playing games. There were collectable cards, equipment to sculpt and paint figures, and rooms available to rent to play campaigns with your friends. Not only that, but there are drinks, and the décor is tastefully geeky . . . it’s honestly everything a lover of game-oriented pop culture could ever want. The proprietor was really nice too, not elitest like the stereotype dude from the Simpsons; he honestly seemed to be genuine. I don’t mind recommending good places, but The Adventure Guild shoots way past good or great, and into the realm of ‘awesome.’ If you visit Thomas, stop by and check it out. If you are outside the area, seriously consider making a trip to The Adventure Guild -- plan a gaming weekend with some of your tribe.

The adventure guild is an incredible location for gaming and all things games adjacent. They are well stocked, well managed, and have a vibrant and welcoming community that stretches across many different systems. They also make for a spectacular place to spend an afternoon with family or friends. Whether planned or Spur of the moment, you can easily sit down and for an almost unreasonably low price take a board game for a spin, grab some snacks, and have a blast. One of my absolute favorite ways to spend an evening or entertain visitors. Really a must-visit spot.

I try to make it to the local game store whenever I pass through a town. Adventure Guild was open and welcoming, my wife who is not a TTG appreciated that the board games were well placed and the store was well lit. The team was very responsive, friendly, and was more than willing to shoot the bull with me while I was grabbing what was conveniently the one clan star from Battletech I didn't have yet. I recommend the place if you're passing through, or maybe staying in Davis,Thomas, or the Canaan Valley and forgot to bring a board game at the cabin. I hope to visit again!
