SUPERKO
3368 S 5600 W, 84120 West Valley City, Utah
We are a young store in Utah who's initial vision was of an arcade machine: Compact and to-the-point with easy access and plenty of options for the customer, as well as a small play space. As our customer base quickly expanded, so did our needs. Four months ago we moved into a new location very close to our previous that is much larger to support our sizeable and passionate playerbases and had an interior designer completely redo the space as a cool, sleek lounge. Our store is 90% play-space; outside of some products on the walls, everything else is behind our minimal counters, still kept in that same compact arcade-machine style we envisioned when we first launched SuperKo. Another thing that makes SuperKo unique is that we support our employees in playing with customers when possible. While this naturally doesn't extend to tournaments with prizing, we have been delighted with how valuable it has been in building a friendly, respectful, and strong community regardless of what game it is. Building these personal connections with our players, having fun with them, and helping to teach those who are interested has been invaluable in making the store a more friendly, welcoming place that feels like a second home both for our customers, and for us! Lastly, our shop has had incredible success when it comes to newer TCGs. We quickly found our Riftbound community growing from 4 players average at release to anywhere from 14 to 28 players multiple times a week. One Piece, which we only gained Organized Play for two months ago, started at roughly 7 players for us, but has quickly become an easy 15+ each week. We feel like Lorcana would be the perfect addition to this success, especially considering the different demographic, of which we know there is certainly plenty in our area. We want to continue to see our community and playerbase grow through a wide variety of great games!
We pulled this from public sources and haven't confirmed it with the store yet. Own this place, or notice something's outdated? Help us fix it.
