Spellhold Games

The store has a great selection and a strong singles inventory, along with plenty of tables available for free play. Those are definitely positives and make the store appealing from a product and play-space standpoint. However, the customer service has consistently been disappointing in my experience. Staff members rarely greet customers, and when I have placed online orders for cards, picking them up has often felt like an inconvenience to the staff rather than a normal part of doing business. As a customer, it should not feel like a burden to support a local game store. This kind of service is one of the reasons many people choose to purchase online instead of supporting their LGS. Additionally, the store often has an unpleasant odor, which takes away from the overall experience and could likely be improved with better upkeep or simple air fresheners. Overall, while the store has good inventory and play space, the customer service and store environment make the cons outweigh the pros for me.

Absolutely amazing! My pod stopped by for some purchasing and playing. They have several kiosks setup for you to order from their inventory. The time for them to pick your order is in a timely manner. They're extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and well stocked. If they don't have your card, placing an order is quick and simple. I couldn't recommend this place more! Stop by, buy some cards, and play with randoms on a designated day or bring your pod. This place is an absolute gem!

Spellhold is easily my favorite card shop in Orange County. They have an amazing selection, a great atmosphere, and one of the easiest inventory systems I’ve used. I love being able to look up cards on the computer and have them pulled so quickly. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and fast. Whether I’m browsing or looking for something specific, it’s always a great experience. Highly recommend!

AS I walked in i was greeted right away. My cards were ready for pick up. The selection was great and varied from different set. They had a bunch of sealed products. Overall Robert I think was his name was very friendly and easy to talk to.

Went to the Riftbound Pre-Release event here, everything was going well until the store owner decided not to give out any prize packs or packs in general for participation. Once the word spread, in an instant half the players dropped and soon over a short time all the players dropped. He had two sealed boxes behind the counter just sitting there, in which one of them was sent to be used as prize packs for the event. Everyone knew that he would sell them as markup instead of giving back to the community. Overall was disgusted by this shady business ethic and will never set foot inside.
