Smoke And Mirrors Hobby
3 Brandywine Dr, 11729 Deer Park, New York
Family owned and operated TCG hobby shop started by two brothers. We wanted to offer great service at good prices! Then we started inviting in players for Pokemon once we had a space large enough. We still host Pokemon as well as One Piece. We used to host Lorcana Set Championships and had run weekly play a little prior to just the championships. Turnout wasn't good enough at the time unfortunately. We are excited to see the game starting to flourish and have requests locally to host again. Hoping this finds you well and to hear back soon! Warmest Regards, Jason

Absolutely 100% the best place for Pokemon TCG! Every single individual who works here is incredibly kind and gives outstanding service every time I visit. The owners are amazing and care about providing products at or below market price. This place is also great for kids!

I only have been here once but I give 5 stars because the staff seemed nice and they had plenty of inventory. I was not expecting that at all. Great prices on accessories and essentials for collectors. Binders, sleeves, guards, boxes. Definitely on my list of good card shops in Suffolk County.

I brought my kids to Smoke and Mirrors Hobby because my four-year-old son really wanted a Charizard. I asked the team, “What’s the cheapest Charizard you have?” They were busy, but instead of brushing us off, one of the guys immediately said, “Hang on, I’ll go check.” The owner noticed what was happening and asked what he was looking for. The employee said something like, “This kid wants his first Charizard.” The owner didn’t hesitate. He walked over to the shelf, grabbed a Charizard tin, handed it to my son, and said, “No worries, it’s on me.” My daughter had picked out a Poké Ball with packs and a whole bunch of other stuff too, so I asked, “Hey, how much is this? What’s the damage?” The Poké Ball packs were adding up a bit, but he said those were on him too. I was honestly shocked. I tried to push back, but he said it was for the kids. What really stood out was how they treated my children. They made them feel welcome, excited, and important. When I went back, I purchased a Pokémon lunchbox and a couple of Poké Balls for the children, who were now excited about Pokémon the same way I was when I was a kid. My son was asking to see about 50 different things, and they patiently brought them up to him one by one. He would say yes, then no, then yes, then no. He was incredibly indecisive, but they kept showing him the boxes until he finally picked the lunchbox. Now my kids absolutely love this place, and we go back at least once a week just to see what’s new. What impressed me even more was how much time they spent with us. I brought in my old cards, and they took 30–40 minutes to look through them, explain which ones might be worth grading, which ones were not worth sending in, and which ones really didn’t have much value. They were honest, patient, and incredibly helpful. The best part was when my daughter brought her binder. I gave the owner a little wink, basically like, “Want to see the rarest cards ever?” He totally played along. He went through her binder one card at a time, saying things like, “Oh, this is sick,” and “That one is awesome.” It made her so happy. He did the same thing with my son, too. And this was not an empty store. They were busy. There were other people there. But they still took the time to make my kids’ first real Pokémon store experience unforgettable. This is exactly what a hobby shop should be. Great people, honest advice, amazing staff, and a place that makes kids feel like the hobby is magic. We’ll definitely keep going back. This is our store now.

Best tcg shop bar none. Been going to smoke and mirrors for over 6 years (since they had their old shop). Danny and Frank and their staff have always been helpful and most importantly honest. Fair prices on all sealed product/singles and just a genuine great time whenever I go!

I started going to this shop roughly a year ago. I have nothing but good things to say about smoke. I really like this card shop. The selection is great, and the staff are so friendly and helpful without being pushy. They really seem to care about making your experience special. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to browse a little longer and actually enjoy picking out a cards. shoutout to Ben, John, and john for always having amazing customer service. A huge thanks to Danny and frank for always helping me figure out what sealed sets I should get my bf. This place is truly one of the best TCG card shops on Long Island! My daughter truly loves playing the games there.
