Shield Comics

Staff was friendly, space was small but well organized. Comic selection was very small. Three drawers of back issues, one drawer of dollar books, a good amount of wall books. Had a pretty nice gaming set up, with a selection of board games to play. Well worth a visit of you are in the area, but I wouldn't travel just for the comics.

Yeah when they say comics and games they mean single issue comics and a few trade paperbacks, their games are a small corner area with a decent selection. I would not call this a comic book and game store, this is a card store they have excellent selections of any card that you would want, but again I say this is not a comic book shop primarily. Most of the comics on display are collectors items, they do have a trade paperback selection but it is extremely small and out of date.

Always a friendly atmosphere and the owner Jason and his son, whomever is there that day, are always so helpful to make it easy to get what you need, and even customers get in on the fun of helping you find the right cards which shows how nice a place this shop really is. I do recommend if you need certain cards come with a list and what set it's in to make it faster finding with MTag. That being said, best prices you can get with a great layout and selection, and so many cards, the most I've found anywhere. They also have the best prices around for Dragonshield, deck boxes, and boosters/precons, a small collection of Gunpla, paints for Warhammer, and of course comics

Everyone here is so welcoming and helpful. I’m new to MTG and they are so patient and supportive. It’s obvious they love what they do and they want to share it with others. As a woman I have struggled feeling comfortable in card shops, but at Shield it’s never been an issue. I’m so happy I found this place!

Jay is one of the best card shop owners in New hampshire. The prices are fantastic they have more singles than anyone and the tournaments are awesome. You can play in a pre-release for $30 and get two slices of pizza and a drink. That blows everyone else away
