Secret Crisis Comics

Secret Crisis Comics was such a great experience. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, and they really took the time to talk with me instead of making it feel rushed. They answered my questions, shared what products they have coming in, and told me about fun upcoming events, especially for Pokémon and Lorcana. As someone who goes to comic book stores pretty regularly, I really appreciated how genuine and inviting the whole place felt. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere near Chelsea

I've been coming here for about a year now. Everyone there is great; friendly and knowledgeable. I LOVE the new set-up with the expanded Trade Paper Back and Hard Back selection. I don't think they do community game nights outside of Magic the Gathering, but maybe I just haven't noticed.

Secret Crisis Comics has been a fixture in the Chelsea community for many years now, and I can honestly say that they have had a major positive impact on the Chelsea community. The staff are all personable, friendly, and helpful when you have a question. The owner is a great guy, and it is overall a very pleasent place to be. The store offers a variety of game options, and the selection is varied. I cannot recommend it enough.

I have always enjoyed Comic Book stores and Game stores, but Secret Crisis is one of a kind! Their selection is top-notch, and the owner and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I checked out the store when we moved into Chelsea a few years ago and bought a few board games. Then I tried out a TCG (Star Wars Unlimited) for the first time ever two years ago and had no idea what I was doing. The community that plays at the store was very helpful and taught me alot. I firmly believe it's part of the culture that is promoted at the store. We have since continued to play every Thursday evening and on other special days when the store hosts fun events with prizes! Would recommend the store to veterans and novices alike!

Let me preface this by saying my complaints aren’t the stores fault but the customers fault. And I am by no means a MTG expert but a lot of these things had to do with basic rules of the decks/game. Also my fiancee is new to Magic but I’ve been playing for over two years now. It’s truly an Amazing store! Amazing prices, amazing workers/staff. However the people who played in the most recent prereleases haven’t been too fair. Play MTG here isn’t really beginner friendly at all, not the stores fault it’s the people playing. The people playing treat it like it’s life or death and kind of treated newer players like they were dumb. My fiancee came in and played for a prerelease and the two people she played against both gave her false information on rules/told her different than how things actually worked within game, altered her deck to “help” but really screwed her over in the end after I came home and looked at her deck. I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to help her build her deck (my fault, I apologize) and stopped after another player told me I wasn’t supposed to. however after a competitor of hers looked through her deck to “help her” a card I know I for sure put in there went missing, we checked in the car, all over the house, all my fiancées pockets, her purse and her deck box and couldn’t find it after a person looked through her deck to “help” and was adding cards. It was supposed to be a 40 card deck and said person basically told her “oh it doesn’t matter if you go over” but the cards added did barely any help and if they were trying to help they would’ve caught another error in her deck, not saying there was alternative motive to this person trying to “help” but it’s just odd to me this happened and the person who was “helping” has played for over 3 decades (this person was bragging about this) didn’t catch the errors and the cards they added didn’t do much to help. Like don’t get me wrong this place is amazing and I love the store it’s just the magic community inside the store seem to be there at events for money and prizes more than to have fun and their false “help” towards my fiancee just wasn’t great. There are many good people who play there and are very fair but just a few people there just kind of spoiled it. It was our first time playing Magic here (we’ve visited several times to purchase things but haven’t played) and it wasn’t the best experience but it could have just been because it was a prerelease and there was prizes.
