One of only two stores in the city consistently selling new Pokémon products at MSRP from distributors, rather than chasing inflated secondary-market prices. That alone says a great deal about Rally Squirrel’s integrity and commitment to the community. What sets Rally Squirrel apart isn’t just fair pricing, it’s exceptional customer service. The staff are welcoming, transparent, and genuinely invested in creating a fun, inclusive environment for collectors of all ages. They have built a store that prioritizes long-term trust over short-term profit, and that’s increasingly rare in today’s hobby. The recent wave of one-star reviews says far more about the reviewers than it does about the store. It’s disappointing to see grown men lash out because they weren’t able to buy every product they wanted, especially when those policies helped ensure that children and families, the very audience Pokémon was created for, actually had a chance to enjoy the hobby. Complaining that kids received access to products intended to be accessible to them is hardly the principled stand some seem to think it is. If you’re looking for a local game store with integrity, fair prices, outstanding customer service, and a genuine commitment to the community, Rally Squirrel is an easy recommendation. They deserve support for putting the hobby ahead of scalpers, entitlement, and online outrage.

This is a very good shop. They have excellent product availability and a nice high end selection. Trade night is crazy - many people n ages n interests. I went today for a drop and picked up some pkc etb’s too, n plan to go back for some rare singles i was excited to see. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, organized, and kind. PRICING IS THE BEST IVE SEEN IN A SHOP. People are upset over 1 small issue today - primarily a family that used a few kids under 10 to buy a lot of hard to get cards, and upset a lot of people. As others are saying, it may not be fair, but RS doesnt know he’s a streamer or who people are. I dont think most of us woulda told the kids no in the moment either, so im not dinging them for that. Its a tough position n theres nothing wrong with kids getting cards. Today seemed excessive, but it was a new/unique situation. They handled it well in the moment, and im sure will make adjustments . There were many parents in line trying to get product for their kids too and were shut out. We’ve all been there and its frustrating, but I wld encourage them to give RS another try. They are fair, obv love tcg, and want to make happy customers.

Last night’s restock highlighted some issues that I think Rally Squirrel has the opportunity to improve. If an entire family is attending a drop together, product distribution should be limited to one of each SKU per family, or at the very least managed in a way that prevents families from multiplying their purchase limits. Watching very young children carrying products they were clearly too small to handle made it obvious that some families were there simply to maximize the amount of product they could buy. In one case, a family participating in the purchase was associated with a well-known Whatnot streamer who will likely break the products down and resell them. Ultimately, the store controls how products are distributed. It also controls how lines are managed, including whether ghost chairs or placeholders are allowed. Other retailers, such as Micro Center, have shown that a structured ticketing system works well. Hand out one ticket per family or per individual, with a limit of one of each product. It’s simple, transparent, and much fairer. The current system benefits resellers far more than the collectors who actually want to enjoy the hobby. Better line management and a fair distribution model would go a long way toward getting products into the hands of genuine collectors, improving the customer experience, and building long-term goodwill within the community. I enjoy shopping at Rally Squirrel and want to see the store succeed. That’s exactly why I hope they’ll consider adopting a system similar to Micro Center’s. It would make future drops feel much more equitable for everyone.

Seriously THE best card shop in the Charlotte area. All of the staff make sure you get the product you want for a reasonable price and that you get it since they have anti scalper-polcies. The trade nights are a MUST when they come up every other week, and if you can, try attending a pre-release event (they'll have limited supply BUT they always make it clear of how much they have and how many per person each time). If you're into Pokemon and are in the area, go check them out!

This was possibly the strangest experience I've ever had at any business ever. Firstly, I am from out of town, only here for one night. Saw the shop on Google and it looked great so we headed over. When we arrive and speak to the employees I am told they stop doing their jobs at 4 so the locals can come and set up what was essentially a mini con in the store. Ok cool that's fine, but I don't want to trade with the locals, they don't have what I want. This place had what I wanted and simply refused to do business with me. Telling me to come back another day. Well I won't be here another day, so no. I told them straight up I want to trade you my cards for your products and was told they weren't gonna do their job. Makes no business sense to me. Had you looked at my binder, you would have seen the extremely valuable and rare cards I have and was more than ready to get rid of at reasonable trade value. Unfortunately for you guys I will never be coming back and will make sure everyone I know never comes either. Poor business acumen, try harder. And now they come on to Google and insult me. Your policy is stupid as is your business sense. The only ones disrespectful are your employees looking at me like I was trying to kill somebody for asking a CARD SHOP to look at my cards. And your rude response to my perfectly valid criticism. And your employees weren't busy, 3 of them were staring at me. Maybe just take it othe chin that your idea is stupid and lost you business? Because it is. And it did. Edited down to one star for being insufferable. It isn't rude to ask a business to do it's business. You're just upset I'm right
