I was on vacation with my wife nearby. An old Superman comic I brought fell apart, and she suggested we go to see if they had it. I already had ten comics in my hand before she reminded me why we were there. I looked to see if they happened to have this random issue from the early 90s and THEY DID. I would come here all the time if I lived there.

My favorite comic book shop in NY. Really good selection of trades and manga. New releases are always up to date. Ran by highly knowledgeable comic fans. Comics isn't a job for them. It's a way of life.

My bf and I took a trip out to NY and he asked if we could stop at a shop or two out here and I'm so glad we found this place. We planned on spending 20 mins here and it turned into almost 2 hours. I thought I would be a little bored or lost since it's not my niche but after this experience, I feel like I have found a new interest/hobby. Kyle and I talked the whole time and he showed me so many diverse types of comics, was super informative, had me sit to watch trailers of comic-based films, and asked questions about myself to get a feel for what I may like. I walked out of there with my first mini set of comics and 5 #1's of ones he recommended me. He explained that as a beginner starting with 1 will let me know if I like it or not and guide me to go forward with more of the runs or drop it. I know a lot more now about all stories, comics, history, how they named the store, and had a lot of great conversations with Devin as well. My bf and I really enjoyed our experience and want to drive 3.5 hours back just to go there again. We had another comic store stop planned afterwards that we didn't stop by because we stayed way longer than we intended and were sad to go, but also didn't see a point since we didn't think it would be another experience like that again. Additionally, as a younger woman who had no idea what to expect and ended up talking for a while with the owners, I felt very comfortable and didn't get "creeper vibes" at all. I would drive back by myself just to hang out there and learn more. No shade to the other reviewer but after spending almost 2 hours there, nothing like that crossed my mind of feeling weird or uncomfortable. A comment like that is simply untrue, especially just based off of "vibes". This wasn't just a vibe but a full experience that I hope other women or younger children can check out. Lots of options, organized, friendly, cool, and the area is nice too. Hopefully I will find the time to drive back soon and I will never forget this place since it holds my first set of comics to a new hobby I never thought I would get into.
