Supremely nice individuals and patrons! Came here whilst working on a weeknight; prowling for pizza//cider. The upstairs is very swanky and chill. Ended up staying for the valkyries match and tested out some brews at the end of the game! Everyone is so kind here! The wifi is great. Best place in Jack London if you are an Amtrak rider or if you live close by and wanna chill on a weekday, weekend, sanctioned American holiday… 🧑🍳😎

Great space, good beer, friendly dogs, and dog friendly. It's been a while since I've been here but this will now be in my regular rotation. Try the Lucky Dog hazy!

Such a friendly place for a drink- they offer non-beer alcohol (sangria!) and NA beverages so there's something for every adult. Very dog friendly place that raises a lot of funds for local charity. One of the owners, Chris, is often around welcoming everyone and may give you free samples! They have a small bar inside with a new reading nook, and upstairs has tables and high tops. Local clubs happen upstairs, like Magic the Gathering. Nice outdoor picnic tables. No food though (just snacks), so check out Heschers for Detroit pizza or Original Pattern for Napolitan pizza.

Oakland United Beerworks does soooo much for the community! They regularly make donations to different charities. Don’t miss their Ales for ALS™ beer and their Lucky Dog beer featuring neighborhood dogs on the label! Dogs are allowed inside and outside. They even have homemade dog treats available! They also have books available for a small donation for your reading pleasure!

Good beer selection. The bar when you enter is small but upstairs has a lot of seating. Only challenge can be if there are groups doing their board games then you may have to be outside. But the garlic noodles getting made by the pop-up food tent smell amazing, will try them next time.
