I hate having to write this because New World Manga was a huge part of my introduction to trading card games. It’s where I learned to play, made a lot of friends, and for years I genuinely enjoyed supporting the store. I even chose to shop there despite prices often being above market because I believed in supporting my local game store. After moving away, I started hearing from friends that management had changed, employees had become rude, and they had stopped hosting the locals that helped build such a great community. I honestly didn’t want to believe it. Unfortunately, after visiting today, I can say those concerns seem to be justified. A friend and I stopped in while I was back in town and purchased two premium packs at around $50 each\. After opening them, we continued browsing because we were considering buying more. Instead of feeling welcomed as paying customers, we were met with an incredibly rude attitude from who I believe was the owner and another employee. It felt like they were trying to rush us out of the store for simply looking around after we had just spent $100. What made the experience even more disappointing was that these are people I’ve had countless conversations with over the years. As someone who was a regular and spent a significant amount of money supporting this business, I expected at least a basic level of courtesy. Instead, I left feeling like my business wasn’t wanted. Needless to say, we decided not to purchase anything else that day, and I won’t be shopping here again. It’s genuinely sad to see a store that once had such a welcoming community become a place where loyal customers feel like an inconvenience. I hope management reflects on how they’re treating the people who helped support this business for years, because the atmosphere that made New World Manga special seems to be disappearing.

Nice store. Went for Yu-Gi-Oh tournament, was chill and welcoming. Good selection of comic books as well.

Just visited as I had some time to kill while working and have to say their pokemon prices are insane.Asked the employees how much the Mega Emboar and Mega Meganium boxes were and got told $99.99 each by the female employee.Thats absolutely highway robbery when the market on the is about $45.I get overhead and usually support the LCS's I end up by while working but I would definitely say steer clear of here.Glad I didn't ask about their Magic collector boosters because I'm sure that would be just as appalling

The store itself is neat and moderately big. Their practices, however, are shady. I've attended a couple riftbound events and both times they did not have enough packs to give out at the end of the event, telling us only when the event was over. No store credit nor different packs were given as compensation, though they took the entry fee happily. That's all fine and all as these things can happen, but the third strike was my recent call to the store. I called to see what their prices would be for the new riftbound set releasing tomorrow. The person who answered was curt and rude. I asked if they would be selling the new set tomorrow. He said yes. I asked what their prices would be. He said he does not know. I asked if he could find someone who does, he said no. He then said prices are only revealed to those who come and wait in line tomorrow. I thanked him and he just hung up. So they want me to drive over and wait in line for a box that could end up being way overpriced? Looking at the other reviews, it looks like they are a bit expensive in their pricing as well. The store is not terrible. I have had positive experiences - especially with the people I've interacted with who were not staff. They are a good place to come when they actually have product for their events and appropriately priced products. But these things rarely seem to line up together. But from my experience - the staff (not all) are a bit unfriendly, the store greedy, and the overall energy gives take it or leave it - we will not accommodate you. This is absolutely their right as a business, as is my right to share my experience and support other lgs. Perhaps my experience will be different from yours and I hope it is, lgs's are wonderful spaces for people of shared interests to gather and collaborate. But I also hope that this prevents someone else from having a similar negative experience, as well as help the store address these problems.
