New Wave Hobbies

I’ve made two purchases and one trade, I think the people are nice and friendly. The prices are fair. They have definitely helped with my Nintendo collection. It’s hard to leave empty handed sometimes. You should shop here !

I just wanted to share our first experience at New Wave Hobbies. Last Friday, my kids decided they wanted to get into Pokémon card collecting, so we stopped by to check out the shop. I don’t remember the name of the younger guy who helped us that day, but he was awesome. We chatted for a bit, picked up a few packs, and he introduced us to the 10-cent binder. Fast forward to Saturday . I decided the one thing I wanted to do was spend some time with my family at the shop digging through binders and hunting for cards. That’s when we met Kenny. Kenny made the entire experience an absolute blast for my two kids. He showed us amazing artwork, taught us about Pokémon cards old and new, and shared so much knowledge about the hobby. We picked up some packs, and when my daughter asked if he would open them with her, he happily joined in. She even completed her very first Pokémon trade with Kenny all by herself! After that, we spent hours at the table going through binders. We ended up leaving with 55 cards not because they were expensive or rare, but because we’re chasing awesome artwork, collecting different versions of our favorite Pokémon, and simply enjoying the hobby for what it is. Before we left, Kenny told us about Pokémon game night and encouraged us to bring the kids so they could learn how to actually play the game. In a world that often feels rushed and chaotic, thank you for creating such a welcoming place. The positive culture you’ve built is obvious, and it clearly extends to your staff. Experiences like this are what turn a store into a community. Kenny has earned our business for life. Thank you again, and we’ll see you all soon!

What a honest owner and a amazing staff not only are the prices fair, but when you walk into new wave hobbies you are treated like family even when they’re busy and not every day are they able to speak to you as much as you want to talk to them because they are so busy but they always are very good at making eye contact, and making your experience of buying their products. Absolutely amazing. I have never been accepted in a hobby store as well as I have at new wave hobbies when you walk into there they don’t look at you and see signs. They see a person and treat you with the upmost respect now he might take my mortgage payment every other month lol But new wave hobbies is the place to go. It’s too bad not all hobby shops are like new wave hobbies Kenny thank you very much for all that you do Kayden and Lindsey. You guys are absolutely amazing. God bless you and everyone that new wave hobbies.

New Wave Hobbies has a fantastic and large selection of cards, games, and nostalgic pieces that bring back great memories. The owner is a really great guy — super friendly, always up for a good conversation, and very reasonably priced. I absolutely love this store and am so glad it’s right here in Dickson. They also host fun events like card trading nights, poker nights, and video game tournaments. It’s truly unlike any other shop in the area and makes me feel like a kid again!

Fun shop with lots of goodies that are vintage and modern. The store is well laid out and the employees are really friendly and helpful. Good selection of Transformers, cards and comics. It located downtown so it's convenient location is great. Definitely stop in and take a look.
