Great place. Very nice people. The owner was very welcoming everytime me and my son stopped by. There was a young lady there that answered all our questions and was also cery polite. We have purchased and we have popped in to browse. Each time was fun and welcoming. Bought a charizard ex and its already appreciated some. It was fair price, like 3 or 4 bucks and now its a bit more. I only wish I could buy a lot of SIRs but thats on me not them. Fun and welcoming experience each time. I dont believe the 1 stars reviews at all. Sounds like BS from someone that dont have anything to do but cause people problems. We live Mount Moon collectables. This is a very positive addition to our community. I have had bad experiences at other game shops. So I “exchanged” where I visit for TCG.

Hands down the best card store in DFW- my wife and I have not even considered visiting any other store since Mt Moon, McKinney opened. James and his team have been very welcoming and helpful and we can’t imagine spending our hard earned money anywhere else. Attached: My wife’s chase card she pulled IN STORE @ Mt Moon, McKinney.

I have to share the BEST card shop experience I have ever had. I was browsing the internet looking for card shops in my area and came across Mt. Moon, and decided to stop in. For me, it was a 4 minute drive as they were very close to where I work. Immediately as I walked in I was greeted and welcomed by the shop owners and other patrons. A big plus for me, I felt comfortable and had that “at home” feeling. I asked if they were interested in something I found in storage, two sealed tins. Very excitedly he said yes and I went to grab them from my car. In awe, we looked up fair market values and talked a lot of what the tins contained, and the chase cards and so on. After being informed of what I had, he made a very fair offer. I was surprised to be honest with how the value went up since I purchased these from 2017! After hearing the offer I contemplated, and I was not pressured. I was even recommended to take my time, and to even seek out other appraisals at other shops. That stuck out to me, not having a pushy business approach. I also made some good friends along the way, talking about our love for the hobby (LANCE!) Something in the case caught my eye, and I brought it to their attention. It was a base set Charizard, the card I have always wanted. (I mean, who doesn’t?) I asked if he would be willing to trade, and to my surprise we came to an agreement! After a gentleman’s handshake, it was done. I am now a proud owner of the one card I’ve always wanted since I started this back in 1999. The card on the playground, in binders, that I have always seen. I am extremely happy and grateful for Mt Moon collectibles and the amazing staff that are there. I am now absolutely going to return, to purchase, trade, or sell. Thank you so much. -a Fire Lizard Fan Chris Bommer

Me and my brother just started collecting pokemon and as everyone knows the hobby is kinda hard to get into this day and age, i was kinda of giving up on it but this store and the two people that are running it made me fall more in love with this hobby. the other day we went in with my brother and since we can’t open many packs they gave us two each to open, they didn’t have to but they showed us they care for their community and people, the next day we went back in, we traded our collection it was kinda small and we added some money on top for a card we both love. i was kinda upset that i spent money and that our cards weren’t worth that much (it was our whole collection lol). but it was a very fair trade and he could’ve just said no to our cards, James knew we wanted the card really bad and he was willing to make us happy by taking our cards that would take him months to sell. These two people are very amazing and they do their best to be as fair as possible, i would go and trade/buy any time with them and i hope we can help them grow! Thanks again:)

I can’t say enough great things about Mt. Moon! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff who genuinely care about helping you find exactly what you’re looking for. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just getting started, they take the time to answer questions and make you feel welcome. The store itself is spotless and very well organized, which makes browsing their huge selection of products an absolute pleasure. They have an impressive variety of cards and collectibles—you can easily spend hours exploring everything they have in stock. One of the standout aspects is the pricing. Everything is very fair, and James in particular goes above and beyond to make sure customers are taken care of. He’s extremely reasonable when it comes to pricing and the condition of cards, and if you’re buying multiple items, he’s more than willing to work with you to get you an even better deal. What really sets Mt. Moon apart, though, is the family-friendly environment they’ve created. It’s the kind of place where everyone—kids, parents, and collectors alike—can feel comfortable, have fun, and share their passion. If you’re anywhere near McKinney and into cards or collectibles, this place is an absolute must-visit!
