Great owner good selection. Primarily magic but still sells some other products and allot of board games. Large play area. Close to food options if planning an all day play for MtG.

I stopped in during a break from the Collector's Vault con; they had several cards I had been looking for that were unavailable elsewhere, as well as several booster packs that I could only find online for much more than they were charging. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I'll stop in the next time I'm in the area.

Another review cites racial profiling, and I’m here to confirm that was not an isolated issue. I’ve had consistent issues with racial profiling here. Twice now I’ve had to listen to employees lament about having to watch the bulk box while I peruse it. Never heard a similar complaint about white customers in all my time buying/selling. Final straw is the clerk miscounting cards in front of us and accusing my elderly mother of lying about a two card difference (forty cents.) I’ll be shopping elsewhere in Madison - other shops are located only a few miles away and offer a larger selection with more polite and socially conscious employees. If this behavior continues, it will open your business up to discrimination suits the first time you fire a minority employee or fail to provide adequate service to an imperiled customer. Those are not trivial risks, and on top of it, you risk reputational damages hitting critical mass in a community infamously left-leaning. Whoever owns this business should have taken the initial allegation more seriously. Edit: Owner Reply The incidents I’m referring to occurred over three separate meetings with different employees, only the comment to my mother and the air of suspicion that preceded it happened earlier today. I don’t think there’s anything to be gained from a phone call as both here and via email, you have selectively quoted the employee and denied wrongdoing. It appears clear by your response that you have no good faith intention to remedy the circumstances. I’ll escalate to the BBB and Chamber. Perhaps there, or some other time down the line when it becomes a matter of compliance or civil suit, you will be able to provide more compelling answers.

More Than a Store, It's a Community Sanctuary There are places where you just buy things, and then there’s Mox Mania, which truly feels like coming home. For any gamer in Madison, this place is a cornerstone of our community, a feeling that hits you the moment you walk in and see the incredible Magic: The Gathering card mosaic on the wall and the tables ready for the next adventure. The staff aren't just employees; they are fellow fans who greet you with genuine warmth, ready to geek out over everything from the latest Warhammer release to their incredible wall of board games. It's the little moments of pure joy you find here that make it so special. On my last visit, I couldn't resist picking up a "Mystery Dice & Pin" bag. The simple thrill of opening it up to discover a gorgeous set of purple dice and a quirky, instantly-loveable black cat pin was the highlight of my day. It’s that feeling—the magic of discovery and the delight in the details—that Mox Mania provides in spades. This place is more than just shelves stacked with games; it’s a vital hub where friendships are made and campaigns begin. We are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful, welcoming sanctuary for our hobby right here. It's an easy 5 stars, and I'll be back again and again.

This is a spacious and beautiful store with a lot of great retail games to buyas well as a generous play area for tabletop games as well as card games! I was visiting from out of town and stopped in for Magic: the Gathering games of EDH/Commander. The staff was exceptionally kind and informative, and the clientele all were great to play with! If I lived here, I would definitely be here weekly and I definitely encourage anyone curious to check it out! They also have sodas available for purchase, and my only gripe was that they didn’t have a better variety of drinks, especially healthier ones, or small bites. I’ll hopefully be able to return soon!
