Moon House: Coffee, Games, & Grub

I had the lunch bowl with salmon. It was absolutely delicious but I don’t recommend paying the extra $9 for salmon. It went from a reasonable $12 bowl to a $21 bowl in no time. Not a ton of salmon. I expected a little bit more. I would without a doubt eat there again but I wouldn’t pay for any add-ons.

Moon House has created one of the best local gems in the area. Tristan and Kate strive to bring organic yummy food and drinks to Weaverville and boy have they succeed! I have tried numerous of their menu items and have enjoyed not one but all of them! My favorite is the Chicken Chipotle Moon Pita which besides the chicken has some yummy greens, delicious coconut bacon, feta cheese, and avocado! When I want coffee (which is now every day here!) I love the Darkvision Mocha and they offer many ways to custom! I add extra chocolate and their elderberry vitamin supplements and it taste so good! If you can catch their baked goods (which tend to be gluten free and amazing!) or specials you are in for such a treat! Next door to the Cafe they have created a game store with an amazing environment and community! They have brought much needed boardgames, TCGs, TTRPGs, and more to Trinity County. Between their amazing food and game center they are such a highlight to Weaverville, anyone who has not made an effort to enjoy the places they have created is missing out! Edit: Just tried their Curry special and it is so good! The spices are amazing, you can smell the turmeric and yet its not overpowering when you taste it. Hint of spicy its perfect! If you can get your hands on some of this you won't be dissapointed! Another Edit: The crab cake special is to die for. Not usually a fan of sea food but I chanced this one and it was worth it. Paired with yummy greens and a perfect custom made sauce with the best proportions of each it has me rethinking Moon House is a culinary masterpiece filled with genius and friendliness!

We had a great time at Moon House! Awesome vibe, really kind owner, and killer coffee! Our lattes and flat white were perfectly balanced and very good. We also enjoyed looking at the local goods and chatting about board/card games as we waited! Thanks Tristen and will def be back when in the area!

If you’re making the long (and stunning) drive to or from the coast, or just in Weaverville this is a gem. Thoughtful, healthy, and creative menu to tasty food and drinks. In house pita around organic chicken burger with greens was so tasty. Madagascar mocha with white chocolate Divine without unnecessary sugar. Warm and friendly vibe with clearly many regular locals. Fabulous spot. WiFi was patchy the day I went but that just supports being with humans instead.

Must try an organic rose steamer with 1/2 & 1/2. I swear it tastes like heaven. They have lavendar too, haven't tried it yet. Fresh tuna pita is fantastic. It was a special. Staff is kind, fast, and professional. Great place for a bite.
