Legacy Books

Visited in July 2026: Legacy Books relocated from the warehouse near the daycare/playground and now is on the highway, in a nice visible location, also having bought inventory from a Tanger book warehouse. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the book deals terrific.

Update: Still an amazing place that people don't know that live here. Tell your friends and family because there's a good chance they haven't even noticed this place. What an amazing place with helpful people?! I'm going to start trying to hangout there more often to play boardgames, put together puzzles, read, play MtG or other card games, and meet new people. The book selection is crazy big and diverse. Novelty items, old maps, old newspapers, this and that...check it out.

On vacation with the family and happened upon this wonderful bookstore. It is well worth checking out if you are in the area. There is tons of room for them to grow in this location. The proprietor greeted me as I entered the door. He briefly outlined where everything is located. I left with a handful of books!

The smell of used books and wicker hangs on you as you make your way through stacks and stacks and nooks and coves filled with books of every variety and subject. Better than a library, because for the cost of an overdue book in most cases you can take home and keep something wonderful. Not feeling like a book? Browse through old maps, comic books, dvds, cds, advertising pages, and all manner of literary treasure. Nothing hoity here. Seems like the staff (owner?) is genuinely interested in collecting stories from patrons and sharing his treasures with everyone. Warm, friendly and half adventure guide, helping you to navigate through the maze and half proud savior of the written word. I think I will test the theory that you could come in here 100 times and never see the same things. A grand adventure in organized chaos of the very warmest and best kind. Locals and tourists alike need to stop and smell the pages. You won’t be disappointed in what was a very real very wholesome experience.

Updated: They have a new shiny store!!!! It is so beautiful with more selection and everytime we go we see new books we have never seen before. I usually stop by at least once a month to buy gifts, find a new book for myself, and catch up with Olivia and the gang! They have a new gaming section, a place to sit and do puzzles, play chess, and ponder while looking to buy books! This place is a wonderful bookstore that has so much more than books!!! I have bought vinyl records (first print), CDS, DVDs, the cutest earrings, antique items, bookmarks, gifts, and so much more. Olivia and Nina invite you to have a cup of coffee and stay awhile and sift through well organized book shelves of gently used books and explore all that they have to offer. They have a very large children's section, sports, and he list goes on and on! I dare you not to find something that you love at this store! If you have a book problem this is your solution! Lately I found 5 new records, two books on science, and historical books about everything! She has a good selection on author signed books and rarer books as well. I also purchased earrings, a cute blue jean purse, and some retro pins.
