NERDY PEOPLE, STATIONERY PEOPLE, PEN PEOPLE, NOTEBOOK PEOPLE: I have found your Seattle happy place. Kinokuniya is one of those stores where “we’re only going to look around for a few minutes” is a dangerous thing to say. We come specifically for the stationery, pens, and notebooks, and the selection is ELITE. There are also books, manga, gifts, character goods, art supplies, and enough interesting little things to keep completely different kinds of nerds entertained. It’s connected to Uwajimaya, which makes this an even better Seattle stop because you get the bookstore AND an incredible Japanese/Asian grocery store experience in one trip. And here is the information I wish every downtown Seattle review included: PARKING TIP: Spend $20 and get up to two hours of parking validated. Yes, downtown Seattle parking without sacrificing your firstborn. Woop woop. If you love stationery, bring restraint. If you lack restraint, bring money. Either way, leave time to wander through Uwajimaya afterward. This is exactly the kind of place I save when planning trips because it gives you shopping, food, and an experience in one stop.

I got the chase variant from their 'last ones' blind box section, so that's pretty cool! Even cooler was it was my beloved Monday Bruce series that I usually only see online or overseas! The store is a nice hidden gem! One of the best Japanese media stores in the area. Better than anything you'd find at any of the malls.

This place is located inside of a shopping market. Small to navigate through as it is popular, but is has really neat items and things that come directly from Japan. My wife who spent time in the land of the rising sun was super excited about it and it brought back memories for her. I would say this is excellent.

You want an Asian store that sell all kinds of Manga, anime, an Asian pop culture, this is the store for you in Seattle’s International District. it is a fun store for young and old. I give it my thumbs up 👍 for places to visit in Seattle.

book store that offers a lot of great goods, from notebooks, to acrylic stands, art cooks, CDs, DVDs, available in English, Japanese, and Chinese. this trip is my second time coming here and it's still just as nice and organized, getting around and finding what you want is really easy and there's a grocery store connected to the location as well and some food booths.
