I visit the shop today and picked up a Pokemon Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box and an old Hollywood Chitty Chitty Bang Bang promo book. Everything was fairly priced 10-20%+ under market value. Once I decided on the items I wanted to purchase, it took less than a minute for them to process my order. This shop is busy in a fun way. Anyone who regularly attends their events will make friends. The gentleman attending to the customers was very kind and offered to help more than once. You can tell that these guys have made a lot of friends in our community. The owner was out talking and laughing with everyone. Everyone felt very approachable. I was joking around and agreeing the prices were good with another gentleman who pulled a $100 card out of a pack while I was checking out. I highly recommend these guys. Some of the overly sensitive reviews before this are not accurate. I did not experience anything negative. They did not have the cards I knew they wouldn't have. I was more interested in seeing what they had to sell and how they were priced. 100% happy with them. We need more local businesses like this.

I was disappointed by my experience here. The owner frequently criticizes scalpers, yet many of the prices in the store appear to be based directly on current eBay listings. As a result, I found very few items priced competitively compared to what I could find online. Because this is one of the only shops of its kind in town, the claim of having the "lowest prices" doesn't mean much when there is little local competition. In my experience, many items were priced at or near online reseller rates. I wanted to support a local business, but I ultimately found better value shopping elsewhere. If you're considering a purchase, it's worth comparing prices online before buying.

As a truck driver I've been to alot of shops around the country and Hypno is by far the best. Its been my go to shop for 8 years now. The owner is super friendly, down to earth, and treats you like a person as well as a valued customer. Prices are great and the atmosphere is cozy, the staff (shout out to Hunter) are amazing. Whether it be pre orders, online orders or impulse buys hypno always has or can get what i want and need for my collections.

I have been going to Hypno since they opened here in Pahrump. George has always been very helpful in getting product for any game I have wanted to play. He has also worked with the high school in supporting gaming clubs, and providing prizes and gift cards to celebrate students victories. He is a kind person and wants to see this town have fun. George will keep his shop open for people to come and play cards and enjoys people of all ages playing games, reading comics, and testing out board games. This place is a place for all of Pahrump to find community and fun in a safe environment. Come see for yourself and don't believe all the comments that are on here, come in and see what it is like. I had a very disappointing experience here today. I was already in the store purchasing over $100 worth of items when the owner pointed out an Ascended Heroes ETB they had priced at $100. After seeing my total, I offered $90 for it since the MSRP is $54.99 and I try to support local card shops when I can. Instead of simply declining the offer, the owner became visibly upset. He started throwing my cards into the bag and even said he “ought to punch me.” I was honestly shocked that a simple price offer during an active purchase escalated into that kind of hostility. I fully understand that stores need to make money and I’m happy to support local businesses, but threatening a customer and acting aggressively is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, after that interaction I will not be returning Edit: Interesting that in your response you didn’t deny saying you “ought to punch me,” yet somehow I’m the problem in the hobby. That kind of behavior toward a paying customer is unacceptable. And the comment about me trying to sell cards was funny — because I actually did sell some there that night, and for less than your shop was charging. You also didn’t address the fact that ETBs you get for around $34 through distribution were being offered to me for $100. That’s quite the markup. I like supporting local game stores, but after that interaction I won’t be returning
