House Rules Games

Great spot with a well curated selection. This might be the best game store in DFW. The owner Steven cares about the community and has built a pretty rad spot. I purchased Flip 7 Deluxe and will def be back.

I came a 1-2 weeks ago, heard a lot of great things about this place from TikTok, so I wanted to check it out. Great selection, and love how they had an area to demo some of their most popular board games, as well as their board game menu. Docking off a star b/c the worker at checkout seemed like the most disinterested person to work at a board game store. After going to a few game board stores, I'm used to meeting engaging staff who share recommendations and are overall delighted to help. The kid at the front was very dimissive, had no idea how to answer any of my questions, and just wanted to be on his phone. Not a good impression.

Great board gaming store and website with wide selection of games, including deluxe items and add on promos. Also excellent shipping rates! Shipping costs are $10 flat rate shipping and FREE shipping with orders over $150. I live in Florida and have purchased many games from House Rules Board Games of Dallas. I highly recommend them.

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while, and while visiting the Dallas area I finally had the chance to stop in. I am so glad I did—House Rules absolutely lived up to my expectations and then some. The store has a fantastic selection of games that’s thoughtfully organized and curated by play type, which made it easy to find something new for my play group. As someone not from the area, I really appreciated how approachable and welcoming everything felt. I was lucky enough to chat with the owner, who shared great insights on a few game recommendations along with some interesting backstory on their development. That personal touch made the experience even better. I even picked up some excellent local food recommendations while I was there! I highly recommend House Rules to anyone—whether you’re deeply invested in gaming or just casually curious. It is a great space with great people, and well worth the visit.

I ordered Flamecraft Duel from their website. I got notification within an hour that my order had been packed. According to the tracking the order was shipped on the same day as order. I was very impressed on how quickly I got my order. And they packed it very well. Thank you so much! I wish I lived near by and I could visit the store.
