Hodgins Basement Review: Pokemon Edition - 5/5 Bulk section: very well organised bulk section, huge selection, mostly modern (2019 and after), with some cards as old as 2011. - 5/5 Singles section: So many singles, such great prices. There are a bunch of lower end ($2-5) cards, each organised by type. Great selection of higher end ($20 and up) cards in showcases as well. - 4/5 Sealed: Hodgins has a Discord I recommend people join to know when sealed is in stock. If you don't preorder more desirable items, such as Illustration Collections, or keep up with the Discord, then you may not see sealed items too often. Despite this, sealed is sold at MSRP, which makes being a regular at Hodgins in person or on the Hodgins discord well worth it.

I love this store. But today was a very unpleasant experience there. I was looking at toys for my granddaughter and opened a few boxes to check them out. That is when my husband and I were approached by an older woman telling us that if we aren't allowed to open boxes. Mind you, the place was packed. So I asked her if we were supposed to bother the busy employees just to open a box. She said yes and that they don't mind. Keep in mind though that we weren't breaking seals or busting through plastic. Simply opening a box. I went to tell her that if she didn't want boxes opened then a sign should be posted saying as much. I also said her comment was very "off putting" and that I almost didn't want to spend my money at the store. Her come back was, "it's your choice". There is a sign that says "don't put toys on the floor". I understand that and yet I saw several children putting toys on the floor. And yet this woman decided that my husband and I needed to be approached about opening a box. Bah humbug

Soooooooo many toys! And if you are into puzzles, this is definitely the place for you! Downstairs they have their games, models, paints and hot wheels. They have other things too….drugstore is in the back and they had air fresheners, candy and other miscellaneous items. They are a bit pricey but they are not a chain store so wouldn’t expect super cheap ☺️ I did not use the pharmacy, was just looking around to see what they had.
