Had a wonderful experience at this location! The owner, TY, was incredibly professional, respectful, and helpful during my visit. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and wants everyone to feel comfortable and welcome. The staff handled everything smoothly, and I really appreciated how seriously they take customer concerns. It’s refreshing to visit a business where the owner is involved and makes an effort to create a positive atmosphere. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place. Excellent customer service and a welcoming environment!

As someone who is a “noob” to the RC hobby, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at HobbyTown in San Antonio. Augie took the time to ask thoughtful questions about what I was looking for instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive RC in the store. I had narrowed my choices down to about five different models, and he patiently walked me through the pros and cons of each one. Based on what I wanted—a fun, durable basher that I could grow into—he recommended the Arrma Vorteks 4x4 223S BLX. After driving it for the past week, I can honestly say he absolutely nailed the recommendation. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. What really stood out was Augie’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and patience. He made someone completely new to the hobby feel comfortable, answered every question I had, and helped me understand not just what to buy, but why it was the right choice for my skill level. Rather than pushing the biggest or most expensive model, he focused on finding the perfect fit so I could enjoy the hobby and continue learning. Customer service like this is becoming harder to find. If you’re new to RC—or even if you’ve been in the hobby for years—I highly recommend stopping by HobbyTown and asking for Augie. He’s a tremendous asset to the store, and more importantly the culture. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My first time visiting HobbyTown, and I was honestly impressed! This store has so much to offer, from collectibles and model kits to arts and crafts supplies. No matter what hobby you're into, there's a good chance you'll find something that catches your eye. The store was well organized, making it easy to browse, and I found myself spending more time there than I planned because there was so much to look at. The selection was amazing, and it was fun discovering new items and collectibles. If you're into crafting, collecting, building models, or just looking for a unique shopping experience, I definitely recommend checking out HobbyTown. I'll be coming back to see what new treasures I can find!

This is a relatively new store for San Antonio. We had some Hobbytown stores but they all closed a few years ago. This one recently opened. The people working there were very friendly and welcoming. There wasn't a problem when we said we were just looking around. My only problem with this location is a problem with Hobbytown as a business. The model tries to support too many hobbies at one time. As a result, they are good at one or too, buy not truly excellent in any. For example, I currently model trains. They had a small but nice selection of supplies for starting in the hobby but very little for experienced modelers. I was looking at getting back into flying radio controlled planes, and the had the same problem. To be fair, I know they can order almost anything i want. I just prefer instant gratification and buying it now instead of ordering it.

It's awesome to see A HobbyTown. They had alot of awesome items , big selection of Gundam, Classic Planes, and Auto models to Legos to even booknooks. Abunch of RC stuff auto and Airplanes and all typea of Model paints. They pretty much had it all and if they didn't have it they could order it for you. Everyone was helpful the Saturday we went so happen to be hosting a free Model building kit for the little ones also, they gave us a free snap together Gundam kit, it was east to assemble and my Daughter loved it . A great place to get your little ones into a cool Creative hobbies or maybe start your own hobby. They have something for about everyone who likes to build stuff.
