Hobby Express

This store is excellent if you're looking for any type of model kit and they have tons of tools and supplys for building them. Unfortunately they did not have what I was looking for, which was embroidery thread. Five stars for variety and service though!

The Hobby Express shop is an absolute gem in a time where hobby shops are few and far between. I drive an hour from Youngstown for all my model building kits and supplies, excellent RC selection and finally the best HO selection of rolling stock and train supplies around. I’ve had great service from the staff. My boys love the selection of slot cars, Cobi bricks, and monster trucks! Please don’t ever close!! One day, I’d like to personally thank and shake the owners hand.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I took my RC car there to get it fixed and rather than just take my money and fix it they said I should return it since it was still under warranty. Honesty is hard to find these days. I will be back and recommend them to everyone.

I have never been to a hobby shop before. But it was amazing!! They had everything I could ever want and more! I highly recommend to stop in. They have massive selection of model kits, from cars to gundam and everything in between. They have diecast, rc vehicles land, water, and air. They have a bunch of train sets in all scales. They have puzzles, cards, and so much other stuff. If you into anything like this stuff. Do stop and check it out!! The staff seemed super friendly!!

Updating my review to mention they have 3d printer filament. I hadn't been able to find a local source for that so was happy to see they've added that option. A large variety or rc car, track car, and train layout items. Had less board games than I'd like but plenty of other toys and fun pastime supplies.
