High Ground Hobbies and Cafe

This hobby shop is massive and offers several privately themed spaces for gaming. It even has a cafe with a small kitchen inside. We happened to stay in the Fallout themed AirBnB for 2 nights, and we had so much fun! The attention to detail throughout the Vault is unmatched, and it would be the perfect setting for your next post-apocalyptic gaming session or Fallout themed retreat. This place would comfortably fit up to 8 people. The owners (who are also gamers) were very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. You can even order food and drinks from the hobby shop nearby, and they will deliver your items to the Vault for you. The NASA Space and Rocket Center is about 15-20 minutes away from here, which was super convenient. I highly recommend checking it out as well during your stay if you are traveling from outside the area.

I’ve had the amazing pleasure of discovering this awesome place shortly after I moved to the state in 2024. My very first experience at the shop was insanely positive, and I am forever grateful for the amazing community I’ve been able to be a part of. Starting my Warhammer 40K journey here at High Ground has been one of the single greatest impacts on my experience here in Huntsville by FAR. The staff are absolutely amazing, the food is delicious, the community for every game system they support here is awesome and eager to receive new people, and the experience overall has been everything I could’ve hoped for. Thank you High Ground Hobbies for being an amazing impact on my life!!!!

Highly recommend this stop for gamers of any genre! The staff are fantastic. Jessy was incredibly kind & even took the time to give my husband & I a tour of the retail space, gaming rooms, & the studio space! She even gave some great product recommendations to me as well. The facilities are top notch & we are definitely making plans to enjoy one of the b&b spaces! I live & host games around an hour east of here & know plenty of our group that would love to play d&d at one of these tables & shop!

One of the best places to hang and best teams to come across. The owner is amazing and very unique, his management team every employee are amazing! Paint nights are so much fun, there are food options for all. The holiday events are amazing and very family friendly. There is something for every type of nerd whether you're just starting or a well seasoned nerd! The community is very welcoming as well!

Amazing store and great food! I didn't think this store was really for me just wanted to try their pizza, which was really good! But I was in for a welcome surprise as one of the lovely girls who worked there gave me a tour and showed me the private gaming rooms and told me about board game night! This is such a hidden gem!
