Grand Slam Sportscards & Comic Books

Was really excited to finally come to this place! Been going to the one in fort collins because it closer to my house. I heard great things from the employees in FC about the sports cards down there. Walked out of there pretty let down and disappointed. The employees there were not very friendly. They only talk to their regulars and dont engage with their excited younger crowd(aka people that are there to spend money). The older gentlemen who is in charge was a little helpful after I went over to him and started asking questions. The tall skinny gentlemen was rude and off putting. The mid to higher end card selection wasnt very impressive for how big the place is. Not a great place to build a portfolio. More of a place to build bulk collections with higher prices

First time checking out this store, looking forward to the comics. I entered the store to the left not knowing the store was split, the gentleman was rude and when asked where the comics were he pointed to the wall and said nothing. The lady on the other side where the comics are really turned the whole experience around. Very kind and knowledgeable. I’ll make sure to stay clear of the left side of the store.

Soooo many comic books! This place is really well organized despite being totally packed! The staff is friendly and helpful as well. This is a good place for comic hunting ting and sports cards.

I think this is one of the best stores in northern Colorado. Great business all around and the people there are fantastic. Weather your selling or buying this is the place to go

I'm really into board games and playing TCG's. So, being new in Loveland I decided to check out my local game stores and found Grand Slam. I pulled up and went into the Comic book store, not knowing there were TWO separate stores. No worries, I decided to curiously look around. Right away I was greeted by a very pleasant lady working who was with another customer. As I looked around she still checked in on me time to time. As soon as she was free, she answered all my questions and had a wealth of information on the Comics. I then asked about TCG games and told me it was on the other side of the building. Oh, when knew? That employee was amazing, keep her! Went to the other side. No greeting on entry. A gentleman sat in a chair in this odd configuration of a store set up, without any acknowledgement. I asked about a couple board games. Wasn't too impressed with his engagement. Didn't care to be bothered and lacked desire to be there. I wasn't impressed, infact I was turned off by this store. I left. So I gave it time and decided to try again, maybe it was a "off" day. I was pretty much greeted in the very same way by the very same guy. His vibe was so off-putting that I couldn't run out of the store any faster. Come to find out, this guy is the store owner! What!?!? Sir, this is not how you should be interacting with the community. Regardless. I was so shocked at his lack of customer service and interaction. I was really hoping to find my LGS to be part of and help grow with the communities support. The ONLY reason you got Two stars is because of the lady that worked in the comic book store that day. She is the face you need to reflect, she is customer service. Thank her. I sincerely wish you well on your future endeavors and hope you find the passion in you again.
