Grand Slam Fort Collins

Solid spot to buy comics & game related items. Played a lot of war games, very large selection of tables and terrain for war games.

Highly recommend for Pokemon and MTG!! Wide selection and great prices! I visited for the first time and I had a wonderful experience! I had some full art cards that I didn't need in my collection anymore and I was offered a reasonable price for all of them and was able to get a several cards that I loved!! Definitely a great place to checkout if you're in the area!

Store is generally disorganized. I signed up for three Pokemon pre-release events here, and two of those times they did not have the stock available for everyone to participate. I find it upsetting that I've wasted my time trying to participate in an event that could've been canceled before I paid and arrived if they had checked their stock prior to taking our money, especially because refunds take several weeks to go through. Apart from that major complaint, Cafe has been closed for several years, and rooms are often unclean. Comic selection is good, but card, board game, and TTRPG selection is low and set at inflated prices in some cases. I wish I didn't feel the need to have to write this review as I've been a frequent here for a long time, but despite the change in ownership, none of their problems have gotten better. The best thing I have to say about this location is that their Pokemon causal play is (usually) very affordable.

On a recent out of town trip, I took my son to check for Pokemon cards at Gryphon. They had a very small selection but it was well presented and the staff was very friendly. They informed me that most of their singles had been purchased earlier in the week which is why the selection was lacking. We did end up getting a few cool cards, the staff was super sweet to my child and I appreciated the store for its selection in other areas such as games!

5/30/22-This is a nice little comic and game store. They have a lot of comics in the back in long boxes. I do feel though that this store doesn't utilize the space as they could. They could jam pack it with so much more products to appeal to more demographics. Even with that they do a lot of cool stuff and have a great Free Comicbook Day each year. There is also a coffee shop built into the front, but it is a different business.
