Grand Slam

Absolutely love this place and its history of being around as long as it has. Emelyn is always happy to help with any Magic: the gathering questions or card requests that I have and is simply such a sweet and knowledgeable person. I love looking through the binders full of cards, and am so happy this business continues to create a local space for people to gather.

Terrible.. i walk in get a mean look followed by silence. Then I ask "do you got any graded pokemon cards?" I get "no" then I ask "do you know of any actual card shops in olean?" Followed by a "No. We are the card shop". Please don't let this be your impression of card shops. The thing behind the counter is just Terrible at owning a business.

Decent collection of magic products. I would say a bit over priced for sealed product. Wanted $320 for a box you can buy just about anywhere for $175/$200 The staff was not well versed in product/prices.

The store was not very consumer friendly. The person working the store did not greet. Or ask me if I needed help I asked him. The price on something and all I got was the price in a very cold tone of voice. I would have actually bought something if the guy was friendly. He also kept staring me down as if I was a theif or my kids were gonna steal something. Not a good experience. Maybe I caught the person on a off day. For the record I would give the shop a second chance. If I happen to be out this way again.

This place is great for magic cards and other trading cards as well as accessories like sleeves and boxes. Place smells a bit but it is an old building. Will definitely be coming back when we need more card things.
