Gold City Cards

Gold City Cards is hands down the best card and more shop location I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is really calm. The workers are always super kind and willing to help you figure out how to get started when you’re new. They’re a small business, and carry multiple different collectors cards, as well as warhammer minis and paints! I’ve only recently got back into magic and one of the workers really helped me out on what’s the new things! It made easing back in the hobby such a wonderful experience. And one thing I really love is that they also have tons of playing tables too due to their new expansion of the store, and it is roomy not cramped. Nearly everytime I have went in there’s been a group of what seems like friends, family, even strangers playing together at the tables. It’s such a lovely atmosphere, the prices are good in my personal opinion, just overall a really awesome store and worth every penny spent there. Keep up the great atmosphere and kindness gold city cards! You rock!

It’s not just a store—it’s a great place to hang out, play, and connect with other hobbyists. Highly recommend!

I had an awesome time at Gold City Cards for the TMNT MTG Prerelease. The event was organized, fun, and had a great community vibe. They even had Thunderstruck Pizza on-site with their pizza truck — seriously some of the best pizza in Oroville. The combination of great gameplay, friendly staff, and delicious food made the whole night unforgettable. If you’re into TCG products, Magic: The Gathering, or just want a welcoming local game store with top-tier events, you’ve got to check out Gold City Cards. You won’t be disappointed.

Just recently found out about this local Oroville shop! And boy am I happy I did! Have everything from Pokémon, magic, to warhammer 40k. The best thing they got is good employees and customer service! Appreciate Kenny, Andy, Marty, and the owner Richy absolutely great store! Came in and traded some of my old Pokémon cards for my new warhammer hobby! Trading childhood for adulthood fun! Great deal and pricing on cards. Very fair and left very happy! Now I gotta get building! Look forward to warhammer nights and coming back in for future army building! Thanks guys! -Spencer Ruzicka
