Casual pokemon player who was just out and about, I've shopped here multiple times ( and purchased things) and have maybe never run into this man or have only run into his sweet coworkers but from what it was sounding like theres an exclusive Loyalty club for players who come in that they get first come first serve. Now I can understand on the whole scalpers thing, especially to dissuade people. But I've boughten several things from this location and this interaction was by far the worst card shop experience i've had thus far. I even asked about coming and playing on the Saturdays since that's they day they play and apparently sell them but then he stated oh well we are loyal to the people who are loyal to us. I did call him out on his weird behavior and the fact he was doing it in front of other people seemed like a smidge of a power trip and that's coming from a friend who used to run a card shop. So to Mugu as ya know support the small businesses that support you

There are lots of mini games, Dnd and TCG accessories! Great staff and the owner is too. Lots of space, so go check this place out!

I remember Hemingway wrote a short story, set in a Parisian Cafe, called "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place." If I had to summarize Geeky Villain with a single title taken from English literature, that would be the one I'd use. I've been to Geeky Villain three times now for Riftbound tournaments. The store has been immaculately clean each time. The (I assume) owner has been friendly and helpful, while not intruding on my personal space or forcing me to make conversation when I'm not in the mood. The tournament judge has a calm demeanor with the ghost of a smile, and he takes the time to make sure both players understand his ruling, citing the specific rule number each time I've overheard him. The soda and snacks are priced quite reasonably. The last tournament I went to, I dropped out a couple of rounds early, as the (stupidly untested) deck I had put together just turned out not to work and wasn't fun to play. After I dropped out, we discovered that I was the one who had received a bye for the next round. I made a joke about costing myself a win by dropping a couple of minutes too early, and didn't think anything more of it. But when I looked at my account a few days later, it turns out that the owner took the time to re-add me to the tournament for that round, so I got credit for a win via a Bye-- which doesn't matter, but was a thoughtful gesture made in response to what I thought of as a passing, humorous comment. The store seems to mainly stock Games Workshop miniatures and TCG/CCG cards (Pokemon, Star Wars Unlimited, etc.), but they do have a selection of board games-- on my last visit, I saw someone excitedly picking up their last copy of 7 Wonders. If your main interest is in board games, though, I suspect you can find bigger selections elsewhere. 5*, a store that I'll pay retail at instead of getting product discounted on the internet, just to support.

Has Pokémon stickers outside his business window. I walked in and saw some Pokémon products on the shelf. Im not sure what it was because as soon as I asked if he has any Pokémon cards, he rudely answered No. You clearly do have product that are Pokémon yet you still said no when I asked politely about Pokémon Cards. Definitely not coming back here.

Geeky Villain is one of the best game/card stores I've ever visited. It's an intimate space, and the staff keep the atmosphere very relaxed and friendly. I come every Thursday for Gundam TCG store events, and am looking at more events to come from. Geeky Villain sells products at fantastic prices, and has a great selection. They also have plenty of tables for miniatures games and trrpgs. I could not recommend them more!
