I been shopping at GameStop for over 30 plus years never have I ever felt like I was being hustled until today even the pass times felt different but today takes the cake I went into GameStop to take advantage of the buy two get one free deal they had today I ended up buying 4. The price of my 4th game witch was shadows of Mordor it was priced at $4.99 the lady charged me almost $10 bucks I didn’t realize this until I got home so I called them she answered the phone! I ask why did you charge me almost $10 when this game was priced at $4.99 she tells me that some one place the wrong sticker price on it, but even if that was the case why did you not say that when I was at the Counter, she starts to stutter so I tell her to cancel my membership because I am done! She stole my money without saying anything to me I would never pay over $5 on that game it’s to old, this is an outrage and I am not alone there have been other customers online saying similar things!

About one week ago, I went in to process an exchange as I had placed on order online for transformers: fall of cybertron but opened the case to find war for cybertron instead. I was in line for a while as the store had a few customers also trading in items which was no problem, the biggest issue with this store is their lead/ manager (not sure his position). He is a tall, lanky white male who looks like he doesn't take care of his appearance for reference, but was constantly berating the female employee to hurry up or get off the phone as an influx of calls were coming in, all while he fiddled with the store shelves instead of helping her with customers. Once it was my turn, he then tried to tell me from across the store how an exchange works even though the employee helping me had already done so and she'd already gotten to almost the end of the return. At this point, he finally came to the register to help the next customer. He was ridiculously pushy with a kid of was very shy but respectful, saying he didnt want to give his phone number, which is completely reasonable. He continued to push, being rude until I finally told him off. We then got into a large argument, acting completely unprofessional, disrespectful, rude, and completely the opposite of what a lead should do. He at one point tried to get me to leave the store to which I plainly told him " youre going to kick me out over me telling you to not be rude?" After constant back and forth, almost getting in my face, he stormed off to the back and did not return for the rest of the time I was there. I do admit I couldve handled myself better, however this is just the absolute worst place I've ever shopped at. Period. I've seen this lead and heard him before berate employees for needing to use the restroom on a prior visit, and treat the female employee with complete disdain. If you want to get retro or new games, go to another castle or reloved games, if you want collectibles, go to toy roundup or a hobby town usa, gaming clothes or memorabilia, just go to hot topic. Dont give this place any of your business, dont give them the time of day, and please, dont torment yourself by going to Gamestop.

This location should really looking into REPLACING Matthew. He gets upset that people only buy Sleeved Boosters to obtain the Promo Card. Matthew actually talks SHIT about the customers to there face saying it’s a waste of his time that people only buy Sleeved Booster Packs to get the Promo Card. This isn’t Matthew’s first time cussing the customers out and saying how much of a waste of his time it is. He should realize that there is other opportunities to get the same product at MSRP rather than paying Secondary Market or Over Secondary Market. Matthew should also realize that the MINIMUM TO OBTAIN the Promo Card is out of his control. If Matthew has such a problem he should contact Corporate and not express how much he hates his job.

I went to this store today to have the two games I bought yesterday replaced, and I had one of the most horrible experiences of my life. A representative named Matthew started the conversation by asking what I needed, and I told him I wanted to replace these two games since they require internet to play. I simply asked if he could check whether the four games I was looking at were available, so I could choose two from them, since some are sometimes out of stock. Then Matthew started saying he didn’t understand what I was saying, kept repeating the same question again and again, and walked away, which wasted 30 minutes of our time. So I called GameStop support for assistance, and he said those guys wouldn’t help me. But I still did, and when I got support online, and he started processing the replacement. At first, he kept saying he couldn’t understand me and that the game was tagged incorrectly on my receipt. I would say this guy was super rude and disrespectful. I can speak English just fine, and he kept insisting that I wasn’t explaining myself correctly. I’m not going back to that store while Matthew is working there.

I’m doing the location two stars because this Actual store had great inventory and a display. However, my experience with the employee was terrible. I bought a game console and I did not want to give my email cause I get so much spam. The worker rudely said and ask a question you don’t want to give your email? Like it was some kind of a big deal. I don’t like getting spam and there was no incentive other than getting a pro free membership which I really opted out of as I buy most of my stuff online. I also had my two kids with me. The worker made my kids uncomfortable, and my son was even whispering to me in fear, like scared. They had no bathroom as my son needed to go really bad and that was also inconvenient. The worker also asked me to buy all sorts of extras Which I opted out of, but he was not happy about that. Overall my experience was terrible due to the workers attitude, it’s like he did not want to be working there and a poor representation for the company given the experience i almost wanted to give a one star but I once again will give two stars because the store was pretty cool inside. I highly suggest that they trained their employees to have better customer service and not make things opinionated or rude to the point where they disagree with you on what your wants are.
