GameStop - 6789 - Gainesville

Just close at 6pm instead of weird random closures and open till 8. A few days before paper sign said closes at 6. In this particular area recommend staying away from the Gainesville GameStop. It also is in a nastier part of the city.

I placed an order after calling to confirm that a PS4 Pro was in stock. Danielle later canceled my order, claiming the item wasn’t available, but didn’t have the courtesy to call and explain. I had to follow up myself—after already visiting the store and having an unpleasant interaction with her. During that visit, Danielle told me I was no longer welcome in the store. That was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. After leaving, I contacted the GameStop in Buford, GA. They confirmed the console was in stock, and I was treated with respect. That location is clearly run much better. It was also discouraging to see another customer being told a game wasn’t in stock when no proper inventory check had been done. Keeping empty boxes on display without verifying availability is misleading. Please improve your inventory accuracy and be more proactive in communicating with customers about online orders. I’ve been a customer at this location since it opened, after the Lakeside Mall store closed, and I’ve been a Pro member since 2011. This is my first negative experience, and it was disappointing enough that I’d rather make the trip to Buford moving forward. Baraka and his team know how to run a store. Guess what Danielle? I still got a PS4 pro and a much better experience at a different store.

Never pre-order pokemon cards from this store!!! I pre-ordered ascended heroes and the new ETB and never got called for it to pick it up. It's hard for most people to keep track of release dates when pre-orders happen a month in advance. When I called to ask why I never got a phone call? A gentlemen on the line was quick to say that customers have 48 hours to pick up their pre-order after release day but the female employee had my back asking why they never called me in the first place since she didn't work release day. He suddenly mentioned about a manager quitting that week and the the Internet being down so it was difficult to reach out to people. If they were aware of this issue then why didn't they try to call again after the Internet was fixed (meaning they should've had many pre-orders not picked up if that were the case)?My only guess is that they didn't even try or took it for themselves. That's absolutely lazy! Never coming here again.

I love this store. It's huge, about the size of 2 full stores anywhere else. The crew working ALWAYS love chatting gaming stuff with you and has a wealth of knowledge. Please dont even think of closing this store, its the only reason I still shop at gamestop.

I don’t agree with this new policy GameStop has… if I buy a NEW controller and purchase warranty on the new controller and it breaks or exc. I deserve to get a new controller when returning item, not a used controller or refurbished controller… bought a New controller bought warranty came back because it got stick drift and they said they can only give me a refurbished controller because that was there new policy went home connected controller an guess what controller didn’t work it was late had to wait till next day to exchanged man says sorry but they have to do it till they have no other option then send it to management and see what they can do I don’t agree with that I bought new put warranty on a new product I didn’t buy used I bought new…. We YOUR CUSTOMERS don’t deserve to be given a used or refurbished controller when buying warranty on a new controller…..and to add more they as well do it to everything else consols headsets exc..
