There is a girl at this location who is the rudest person I’ve met recently. During my purchase I asked several questions. I was told by her I was rude and to stop interrupting her. She said despite that I was the customer I should be quiet while she talked. She then said I could report her but her district manager would make it go away. Not shopping here again till she is gone. Terrible service. Terrible attitude.

This store is in New Boston Ohio and I believe the store number is 6274. I previously reported this same exact employee (myla) and didn’t hear back but I do feel it’s important to keep sharing these experiences. We frequent GameStops over several states and spend a lot of money. We hunt mostly for retro games and appreciate that GameStop has been carrying more retro. During the 4/$20 4/$40 sales, we buy several games. I know it is time consuming for team members to pull that many games so we are always patient and understanding. This employee (the store manager) was so rude to us. She made us feel like we were a huge inconvenience to her because we wanted to check the older discs for deep scratches, and as she repeatedly said, she was on single coverage and busy. We patiently waited for her to pull games in between checking out other customers. She was not only rude to us but very short and rude to others she was checking out. We had one game that was labeled “new” and we wanted a sealed copy. When she pulled out a copy that was not brand new and sealed, we explained we didn’t want that. She argued with us and said it is new and rolled her eyes and kept an attitude about us expecting a sealed copy. We asked her to just take it off and we would use our points on something else. We ended up getting another item to use our points on. We redeemed a few points vouchers and one was a $25 item. Before we checked out, the total didn’t seem right so we asked if it took off the full coupons and she said yes. She could clearly see on her end that it did. We paid, went to the car, looked at the receipt and it did not. It only took off $9.99 because she applied it to an item that only had 9.99 remaining balance on it. We walked back in and explained the situation and she said “well it was right on my end” over and over. We asked what the solution would be and to help us problem solve because at this point we were shorted $15. She started crying and raising her voice and telling us she wasn’t fixing it. We told her we frequent the Ashland location and never have this issue and that there has to be a way to problem solve. She continued crying and shouted “I’ll just take loss and get a write up because you want your $15. I hope you’re happy. I’m getting wrote up for this”. This is unnecessary and unacceptable. She treated us the entire time like we were a huge inconvenience. I understand people have bad days. It happens. This woman has a bad day everytime we are in there. I shouldn’t feel like I have to avoid shopping at a specific GameStop location just because the *store manager of 10 years* is constantly in a terrible mood and has a bad attitude. If there isn’t a way to fix an employee error, I encourage a fix in the system. If there is a way, I encourage a coaching so she’s aware how to resolve without tears, a raised voice and a guilt trip. In my opinion, this woman should not be in customer service.

I did not buy any products. I was looking for a specific product that Google stated that they had, but when I entered the establishment the employee behind the counter was very professional & prompt to answer my question about my the product I was looking for. I do appreciate their quick response ( not rude, just very professionally honest and respectful). Thank you GameStop ( in New Boston, Ohio) for clearing up the incorrect information that Google had given me. 👍😎

Got nothing but good things to say about these guys! I love that they are a Cricket dealer as well. Good prices on gaming units and games. Excellent service for Cricket. I've used them a couple times and they have been super helpful! Service with a smile I love it. Very clean location and great selection on inventory not like some that have 100 copies of the same thing. Keep it up guys!
