Don't waste your time calling the store to get in answer. I called during openings , closing , then I went inside the store and called and nobody paid attention to the phone... l called corporate , so now the store is under investigation

Just had a wonderful experience at this Gamestop location, prompt friendly service and some great suggestions on upcoming games and the available promotions.

Came to process a trade in on 1-16-26, the employee working (his name is Logan) refused to do it and said I could come back later around 3pm to process my transaction because he wasnt trained on how to do so. This in fact was a lie because the same employee had worked previously at the warrenton location, as well as the Gainesville location (ironically they're both closed down now). My question is how can you run a business when the employees refuse to do their jobs!? This is unacceptable and that employee needs to be terminated. Especially since he threatened to call the cops on a customer just trying to conduct a transaction. Nobody was loud, or rude, or threatening to This employee so the fact he did that was unjustified

I am appalled by the unacceptable treatment my family and I received at the Bull Run Plaza GameStop in Manassas, VA. This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at any establishment. We arrived well before closing to complete a trade-in and waited over 30 minutes in line while the employees helped another customer. At no point did either employee say anything about being unable to assist us. When we finally reached the counter, still several minutes before the posted 8:00 PM closing time, the male employee working the evening of 12/1/25 refused to help, stating he doesn’t have time to process the trade in and has to close the store. I have never in my life been refused service while standing inside a business that is still open, especially after already waiting such an extended time. The store was not closed. The doors were open. There were still minutes left before closing. Their refusal was completely unjustified. To make matters worse, when I asked why they weren’t going to help, the female employee said ‘we need to get home’. Her tone and attitude were unprofessional, condescending, and entirely inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing role. This behavior was absolutely unacceptable. If this location has a policy about stopping trade-ins before closing, then communicate it - don’t let customers stand in line for half an hour only to blatantly refuse service. The disregard for our time, the rude attitudes, and the complete lack of basic customer service were shocking. GameStop corporate needs to take a serious look at what is happening at this store. No paying customer should ever be treated this way.

Midnight launch for Tears of the Kingdom was a lot of fun. The assistant Jess was very good at getting the crowd excited and riled up, GameStop even gave them these cool sleeves to give to everyone who came. I definitely missed these kinds of high energy community-driven events
