GameStop - 5763 - Waycross Corners

I’ve recently started getting back into gaming after some years. I’ve been in a good bit of times since then, not always to buy, sometimes to just look. And even a trade-in on some old duplicates I acquired. Both girls that have been there have been amazing and the dude Jay?? Mann he’s funny as heck! I think most people having issues are just people who come in expecting a greeting party and parade. I’ve always been asked if I needed help, made aware of sales that are happening, and treated with respect. Everyone there is amazing. In their own way. I’ve found great deals for my retro collection, great accessories for my systems, and made new friendly acquaintances since stopping in. I’ll continue to support our local GameStop.

I went in to GameStop on 12/24/25 and bought a game priced at $19.99 on the sticker and it rung up for $24.99 they refused to adjust saying the sticker was from July.

I went in a few days ago to buy a Nintendo Switch 2. The employee behind the counter was quite rude when I asked if they had the Mario Kart Bundle and snapped like a rabid dog. Said " We don't, and you're not going to find one either. Nobody has those." So I asked well do you have any kind of deals on Switch 2 because I saw online if you spend a certain amount you get $25 dollars off. Again she was snappy "no we don't do anything like that because it's a new console" even though I had just read about the deal online and it does not specify it can't be a new console. So I asked " well do you have a used copy of breath of the wild" and she snapped "No we don't!" So I walked over to the shelf and picked up the used box and took it to the counter and said "well then why is this out there?" That's when another employee came up and went in the drawer and got the game for me. I then left and went to another store and bought the Mario Kart Bundle that GameStop said I'd never find and GameStop lost about $700 worth of revenue from me. I was there to buy quite a bit, starting with the console itself. But because of the bitter and hateful woman behind the counter someone else got that money instead. What ever happened to hiring laid back gamers to work at GameStop? The attitude and hate for her job emanating from this woman was obvious and sickening.

I don't normally shop in person anymore but this was my favorite place as a kid. I have spent hundreds here and I honestly would more if online wasn't easier. I love gamestop and I hope they never close.
